My April 12, 2008 Wedding Review

My Husband and I were married on April 12, 2008 in Staten Island, NY. The day turned out to be more Beautiful and Magical than I ever possibly imagined. My Husband, Todd is incredibly romantic and surprised me with a diamond necklace the night before our wedding (which I wore the day of the wedding) and he sent me flowers the morning of. Although the weather forecast predicted thunderstorms and it rained like crazy the night before, the rain held off just long enough for me to make it to the church and take photographs afterwards. We spent our honeymoon in Sandals Grande, St. Lucia-that was absolutely amazing. I've added some photos in my profile album-will add more soon.

Wedding Dress was Allure from Angel's Bridal in Staten Island, NY: A+++
I loved my dress. It was the second dress I tried on and I fell in love with right away. It was very comfortable and made me feel like a princess.

Bridesmaid Dresses were from JCrew: A+++
Very flattering on every body type and bridesmaids who live around the country were able to purchase easily.

Maid of Honor Dress was Impression from Doris Fashions in Brooklyn, NY: A+++
Dress was very comfortable, flattering and looked beautiful on my sister who is a full figured woman.

Hair & Makeup by Antonio Berducci, NYC : A++++++++++++++++++++

He did hair & makeup in my home for 6 of us, including my Mom and he did an amazing job!!!! Makeup was flawless and stood in tact the entire night.

Florist was Hidden Essence, Long Island, NY: A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Flowers were absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!! Michelle did an amazing job with everything (please see attached pics and check out my profile album) and I got compliments all night long and afterwards. Even the RH was impressed. Highly Recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christine Spelman & Staff were phenomenal and very helpful throughout the very chaotic day. They were very organized and helped move things along smoothly. I've checked out some of the photos already posted online and they look awesome.

Wedding Cake was from Jackie's Cake Boutique, Staten Island, NY: A++++++++++++++++++

The cake was not only gorgeous but delicious!!!!!!!!! I got so many compliments on it.

Reception Hall-Island Chateau, Staten Island, NY:
A+

Hall looked beautiful, food was fantastic and service was good. Guests gave me many compliments. The one major screw-up they did
was forget about my Dad's table by positioning it poorly in an oddly angled part of the room (which appeared set back & in a corner) and serving him dinner last. He was not happy to say the least. Hall acknowledged their error and apologized profusely.
