i can honestly say that i had the absolute, perfect, wedding of my dreams - i wouldnt have changed a thing and everything was absolutely amazing.

Here is my review of my May 29, 2005 wedding at the Huntington Harbor Club.

Reception Hall
The Harbor Club - A++++++++++
Where can i even begin - it WAS AMAZNG - everything that Matt the banquet manager had promised me and a thousand times more - anyone getting married there has absolutley nothing to worry about - everything was perfect - thankfully the weather was beautiful - so we were able to get there early for pictures - the outside was gardened and landscaped perfectly and i cant wait to see my proofs and all of the pictures that they took - we met out bridal attendant kara (a complete doll) and our maitre de, Steve, who were both so incredibly helpful and made sure that we didnt have to worry about everything - as soon as we got there they had food and drinks for our famililes and bridal party - and the place was set up absolutely beautifully - not a napkin out of place or a detail left unnoticed.Our guests arrived early, and they were accomodated by the cocktail hour starting early - and the FOOD - the food was incredible and there was so much ---- people keep raving about it two weeks later - especially mike’s family - who are all italian and apprciate good food - the food at the coctail hour - was unbelievable - everyone keeps raving about the seafood boat and the passed hours de vours.....the meals were delicious- i had the filet and it was like butter - didnt even need a steak knife to cut it - they also offered a chicken louie which i heard raves about too! and the cake - all i did was show a picture of what i liked and they duplicated it, and even made it nicer, then i even could have imagined.... i know i must be forgetting something - but the harbor club really made me feel like a princess and my wedding was elegant, classy, timeless and a day that i will remember as perfect as long as i live.

Rehearsal Dinner
Sergiios Restaurant -A
We had our rehearsal dinner here and totally recommend this restaurant to anyone who is getting married in the area. Michael the owner was sooooo accomodating and was so nice and helpful when we had to switch the day of the dinner because of a problem with the church - the night of the food was so good and there were so many choices for entrees. the price was great - it included beer, wine and soda and the waitstaff was excellent to.

Bridesmaid Dresses/Flowers
Burtons- A
We used them for both my bridesmaid dresses and our flowers. For the bridesmaid dresses - the dresses came on tim exactly as we wanted them and the alterations were capped and we had a great experience - for flowers - the flowers we got were incredible i had asked for a cascading old fashioned bouquet of calla lillies and it came out even more beautiful then i could have imagined - the girls bouquest - were beautiful pink calla lillies and the centerpieces were OUT OF THIS WORLD - tall glass vases with floating irises and bear grass and calla lillies out of the top - they were so pretty - people kept admiring them all night and were fighting over who was gonna take them home from each table at the end of the night.

DJ
Entertainment Tonite -A
Our DJ is one that you dont hear about alot on our sute - but was also AWESOME - we had a piano player for the cocktail hour that really added an elegant touch to the cocktail hour - when you were walking around outside you could here him - very nice ... Our MJ was MIke D and he was amzing - he had people up and dancing from the second the reception started to the last minute - he was on everything - didnt miss anythino or request that we asked for and got the party started and going all night

Photography/Videography
Duet A+++++++++
I just picked up my proofs yesterday and they were absolutely gorgeous - better than i could have ever imagined and i love them so much - the photjournalistic black and white stuff is amazing and they didnt miss a thing- i cant wait to design the album with them! We had Eric for the viedographer and Alberto and JOseph as our photgraphers and they were on top of everything - seemed like everything that we did that day - they took a picture of - they were comfortable and easy going to work with - and even though they were constantly taking pictures - after abouut an hour i didnt even know that they were there - i cant wait to get my proofs back to post. Anyone who was worried about there being a communication problem - dont worry - that wasnt even an issue at all

Limos
Designer Limos - B
Hmm, we got a limo bus and a 12-14 passenger bus for our wedding day and both came on time and were clean and new and nice, the drivers were curteous and very helpful and i have no complaints about there service -we also had three limos come back at the end of the night, one to take us to the hotel and one each for our families to get back to their houses, they also picked us up and brought us to the airport for the honeymoon - they did not get an A rating because when we asked them how much it would cost to get a car (not even a lomo, but a town car) to pick up up from the airport (after spending all of this money)_ they said $150. and wouldnt budge on the price - so we decided not to use them - other limo places we called quoted us half that - and we used them for the wedding!!!

Wedding Dress
Bridal Reflections(Massapequa) - A
I fell in love with my wedding dress the second that i saw it in a magazine - and after trying on a bunch more - i knew that it would have to be that dress - my dress was Maggie Soterros’s Olympia and was from Bridal Reflections in Massapequa - i had no problems there - the dress was beautiful, came in on time, the help fro both buying the dress and the fittings was great and the end result was beautiful - sure, i could have gotten the dress a little bit cheaper elsewear or online- but trying the dress on and the fittings taking place at bridal reflections made me feel like a princess and gave us nothing to worry about - they took care of everything for us.

Makeup
( I Make You Up)- A
My mom found online and trhough this site - Jackie from I Make You Up and we booked her after a trial for my hair - she came to the house the day of the wedding and did my make up - and it came out great - she used the airbrushing and except for a couple of retouches on the lips - everything stayed all night.

Hair - A+
Through Jackie, we found Margaret for my hair - SHE DID AN ABSOLUTE BEAUTFUL JOB - i knew that i didnt want an updo or a tiara and she got my hair perfect at both the trial and the day of my wedding - half up, half down, all loose curls and flowers and crystals in my hair - it was amazing and i loved it - she was so nice and friendly and stayed at my house for such a long time - putting on my veil and final touchups before i left for church - if anyone is interested let me know and i will give you her number - i cant rave enough about her

Im sure there is a lot more that i can review - but im tired of typing ---- i will post more (and pictures) once i get my proofs back - I CANT WAIT - i just have a couple of pics that my friends here gave me - not too many though
