My July 16th Review with few pics - Edited to Include rating on proofs

Hi Girls,

I wanted to post a review of my amazing wedding. I didn't post much throughout my planning, but I found this site very helpful, especially the reviews. FM me if you want any more details.

North Ritz Club - 10+++++++++++++
The NRC is absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect from start to finish. They didn't miss a thing and everyone was raving about how great the food was and the viennese hour was unbelievable. Everyone said the service was great and the place was beautiful. I couldn't tell you how the food was though. All I ate the entire night was a few gnocchi's and a chocolate covered strawberry. I had some food from the cocktail hour while I was in the Suite and it was excellent. I mainly worked with Ida, who is so sweet and so helpful, but my Matre'd was George, who was also great.

Flower Michelle - 10++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

My flowers were absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!! The bouquets, church pews, my table and all the centerpieces were all perfect. They did such an amazing job and John is so great to work with. He knew exactly what I wanted and put together the most beautiful flowers. I was so nervous about the colors not matching because my girls dresses were a hard color to match (jim hjelm's french almond), but they were absolutely perfect!! I loved everything. I would definitely recommend them. They didn't miss a thing (from candles on the tables to petals on the cocktail tables), they remembered everything.

Dortoni Bakery - 10+++++++++++
I ordered my cake from Dortoni Bakery in Levittown. It looked beautiful. Exactly what I wanted. I didn't use the NRC cakes because I wasn't crazy about the ones they offered. Again, I have no idea how it tasted, but it looked gorgeous. Flower Michelle added the flowers to it, which made it even more beautiful.

Satisfaction Guaranteed Enteratainment - 10++++++++++++
I cannot say enough great things about them. They did an amazing job. Everyone danced the entire night and everything was timed perfectly. Everyone kept coming up to me saying how great they were and how it was the most fun they ever had at a wedding. They also put together a tribute for my father, which was very sad but they placed it at a perfect time so everyone could watch the tribute and start eating rather then go into dancing.

Bridal Reflections - 8
I didn't really have any problems with them until the end. When I brought my final payment in, they said they made a mistake with my bill and charged me another $600. I argued with them for an hour. I'm still not sure what happened, but I have to go through all of my payments to see. Other then that, everything went smoothly. I got my dress (eve of milady), tiara (denise leli), shoes (Grazia), bridesmaid dresses (jim hjelm), mother of the bride dress and pillow for my pillow boy there.

Sherwood Triart - Rating for the day - 10++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I don't have my proofs back yet so I can't fully rate the pictures, but the photographers did an amazing job that day. I felt bad because they had to put up with my huge wedding party and it was 100 degrees outside. They were so nice and I am pretty sure they got all the pictures I wanted. I was a little upset because I didn't get any pictures on the NRC's beautiful staircase, but I didn't even think of it that day either. I also didn't get a picture of us in the room before everyone got there, but it's pretty much because the room wasn't ready when I got there (we got there kinda early) and when it was ready, I didn't want to come out of the suite because I didn't want anyone to see me before the reception.

Rating for the proofs - 10+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I just got my proofs back the other night. They are absolutely amazing. I looked at them quick when I got them because I wasn't feeling well, but I went through them again last night and I can't believe how beautiful they came out. My family couldn't stop raving about them. They captured every single detail and every expression and every moment of the day. They got all the shots I wanted and more. I loved the photojournalistic ones the best. I would definitely recommend getting that if you can. What I also loved most is that none of the poses were cheesey. Every pose was so natural looking. Sometimes my smile was fake but my face hurt from smiling so much. Sherwood did such an amazing job. I would recommend them to everyone. They are worth every penny. I thought the pictures and video were the most important vendors since they are what is going to be around forever.
Oh, and my photographers names were Brian and Dana. They were such sweethearts. I forgot to mention that when I was taking pictures in the park, I kinda got a little sick from the heat and they ran all the way back to the limos to get me some water. They were so sweet. I'm sure all of the photographers there would be great. I worked with Kevin in the office the entire time. He was so great to work with. I was so nervous about everything and he assured me that I had nothing to worry about with Sherwood and he was right.

I also just realized that I never mentioned the videographer. He was really nice too. He was with us the entire night so I am sure the video is going to be great. I can't wait to see it.


Royalty Limos - 5
One of the limos and my rolls royce were barely air conditioned. My car stalled on the way to planting fields so I had to get out of my car and go into the other one. The drivers were nice except for the one without the air conditioning. While I was taking pictures at Planting fields, my bridal party asked if he could turn the car on while they wait and he said no!! They had to wait outside in their tuxedos and it was 100 degrees. The escalade was perfect though. No problems there. For a company that begs you to give them a good review on LIW, they should have done a better job. I asked them a week before to please make sure they were air conditioned and they told me 'come on, we're a reputable company of course we will'. Well they didn't mention that if it's too hot out, the air conditioned barely works.

Paula - You're Invited To Celebrate - 10+++++++++++++++++++
Paula is great. She helped me with every little detail. Everyone couldn't stop saying how beautiful my invitations were. She showed me an invitation after I looked through all the books and she said that she thought I might like it. Well she was right - that's the one I ended up picking. It was gorgeous (Encore). She also did my favors (which were espresso cups), mints for the tables, and place cards. Everything was perfect.

I decided to make my own programs and menus and rose petal cones which came out really great thanks to the help of this website. I wanted to add a personal touch to the wedding so I did them myself. Paula gave me some really helpful advice with the programs. She was great!!

Tarale - 10++
I loved my hair that day and everyone told me it was perfect even at the end of the night. She was so sweet, but I don't think she will be doing brides anymore.

Wendy - 10
Wendy was also really sweet and I think she did a great job that day. It was very natural looking. I think I could have used a little more color, but I am not used to wearing make up so she was a little afraid to add color.


Honeymoon - Hawaii - Hyatt in Kauai and The Four Seasons Maui - Both 10++++++++++++++
Both were absolutely perfect. I had the best time in Hawaii. They are very different types of resorts, but both were great.

Congratulations! It sounds like you had a beautiful wedding.

Great review. John at Flower Michele is amazing and so happy to hear that he once again exceeded expectations. Thanks for the honest review on Royalty as well. Seems that this summer the AC has been a really big issue with them which has me very nervous but at least now I am prepared.
