My Woodbury CC Review with Bridal reflections, flower michelle, and more!!!

Our wedding was AMAZING! Everything went perfectly, and we enjoyed every second of it!

Weather... A (Beautiful, warm, sunny, just a little humid towards the end)

St Phillip Neri Church Northport... A+++ Sister Grace was awesome! She helped us out sooo much, and everything was perfect. They were very accomodating with everything. My only problem was that Father Peter came to our rehersal after a colonoscopy and genuinely acted like he still had a pole up his a**!!! He wasn't very nice, made us all feel uncomfortable and rushed, and really needed to realize this was a huge and important day for us. Thankfully, he must have been feeling better the day of the wedding because he was very nice then.

Woodbury Country Club: A (with a few minor issues, but would definitely do it there all over again)
-Andrew was our go-to-guy. He was really nice, and did an amazing job with the carribbean cocktail hour (everyone still talks about it). The grounds were GORGEOUS, and we were the only wedding, just as he promised we would be.
-The food was just AMAZING and I still think about it! I'm a drug rep, so I eat at a lot of nice restaurants every week, but this food blows most of them away.
-We had the downstairs room and it was beautiful. Sara was my BA and she was SO sweet and very attentive (just didn't exactly bussle my dress right though, but oh well)
-The problems... (and they were so minor and didn't bother us but I'll just mention them...)
1- We were told there would eb steel drum music piping intot he coktail hour and there wasn't (no one noticed but us and the cocktail horu was still outstanding)
2- Andrew was sometimes difficult to get in touch with after we booked, and I stometimes got the feeling that they were just a little too snotty there.
3- We were told we would have the vienese hour outside by the pools, and without asking me or mentioning it to me, they moved it inside. They thought it was raining, but it was just condensation on the windows!!
Everything else was perfect and we couldn't have asked for anything better.

Limos... Sir Oliver... A+++ ........ SO easy to deal with! Reasonable prices, very accomodating, cars were gorgeous, drivers were AWESOME and had everything there for us... even tic tacs!

Photographer: Martin Willard... B+ so far...
He's SUCH an awesome guy, and we loved doing business with him! Very reasonable prices, and yhey had their proofs ready within 2 weeks of the wedding! I love the pictures, but I wish I had given them a list of must-takes. Also, there were a few pics that had my bra sticking out of the back of my dress, and the focus of the picture was a still-life of the back of my dress, so I wish they had just tucked it in for me. I am taking forever getting them the proofs that we want for the album, but I can't wait to see it! Also, they were so great at staying out of the way! They got amazing shots and you hardly knew they were there!
We used them for video too, but I'm stillw aiting on that so I can't rate them yet.

Florist: Flower Michele..... B.... They were great to deal with, and I loved the samples they showed me. The flowers on the day of we arranged beautifully, but were a little wilted in my bo-k. They also didn't put as many votive candals as I had asked for on the tables, and they sprayed DH's calla with some white sparkley stuff! It came off alllll over his tux jacket and you see white sparkles in some of the pictures. I still don't get why they did that. They also forgot the tossing bo-k. They were on time though, and the centerpieces and bo-k's were very pretty.

Invitations: Whiteaisle.com.... A+
They were GORGEOUS, and I loved them!! Very easy to deal with, prices were reasonable, swift delivery.

Bridal Reflections of Massapequa..... C-
While I was picking out my dress, I felt rushed and definitely felt like a paycheck! Once we ordered it, I got it 2 months early, which was awesome. They were very good about me comming in and trying it on at various times with various people.
The alterations were horrendous! This is the only thing about my wedding that I would have changed. The top of my dress was too big, and Zizi sewed velcro to the bra and the bust of the dress. She said that would take care of it. Well, it didn't, and the top of my dress stuck out at the bust, which added on the illusion of a few pounds in some pictures that I definitely didn't appreciate. The dress had an extremely low back, and they sold me a bra that came up a little higher than the dress did. Zizi told me to just unhook the top 2 hooks on the bra and fold it down under the dress. She's the professional so I trusted her, but it didn't work and the entire night, people had to come up and tuck it under. In some of my favorite pictures, my bra is sticking out of my 3 thousand dollar Lazaro gown.
We got our Jim Hjelm BM dresses from there too. They screwed up my sistier in law's alteratons and her dress was folded over the whole night at her waist. The 15 year old girls that worked the front desk were completely uninterested in helping anyone, and were always rude to my girls. The Jim Hjelm dresses themselves were beautiful, and the girls looked amazing in them.

Hair... Denise Venti... A+++++++++++ She was awesome, I threw her a loop by changing my mind on my hair because of the humidity the morning of, and she made something amazing right there with no warning. She's also the sweetest girl ever, and I highly recommend her to any and everyone! I loved everything she did for me at my trial, and I loved my wedding hair!

M I A from BL.... A.... She did a great job, I loved my make-up. She's a sweetheart, and even helped out my grandma!

DJ.... Tommy Tunes... A.... They did a great job. Everyone danced the entire night. Only thing was they ignored what I requested on the paper a little. It worked out, but there were a few songs I wished we had. Also, my only other gripe is that I was in the bathroom when they called us to cut the cake! No one checked to see where I was, the DJ just announced that the cake was going to be cut and called Mike and I out to the floor, but I was int he bathroom for a good 5 min while everyone waited! (it takes a little longer when dealing with the dress lol) Then I walked out and everyone was staring at me hahaha, they also didn't play the right song for the cake cutting, we wanted Adam Sandler and they played something else... I refused to cut it untilt hey played the right one because I love that song and I felt strongly about it. He was able to cue it up, but there was an awkward few seconds there!

Huntington Hilton... A... They did a nice job, had a shuttle for our guests. The rooms were nice and clean. It served its purpose.

great review!! congrats!! my DJ didn't play the right song for the cake cutting either, kudos to you for making them play the right one!! lol!! I almost wish I did the same to our DJ since it took me a while to decide on our cake cutting song. can't wait for your pictures!!
