11/4/05 The Astoria World Manor Review

Where to begin..

Ok
David's Bridal A+
Long Island and New Jersey
I found my dress after trying on only 3.. The ladies there were very helpful and w/ me trying on 5months prior to the wedding, I needed a lot of help since the day of my wedding I was 6 months prego. The alterations came out amazing and I would highly recomned them.
I also had the girls get there dresses done there and they were perfect.

Queens Bridal C -
Maspeth, Queens
We used Queens Bridal for our photos, video, and Luxury bus ( we had 24 peopel in the wedding party) .
Our photographer MArvin was amazing and the shots he took were beautiful..
The video guy seemed to be at the right place at the right time so hopefully there will be no complaints about that.
The luxury bus was nice except the driver didn't really know where he was going but he eventually got us there.

Well after 8 mths of waiting we finally received our video.. it was ok except I noticed that my photograoher took a lot more pics then we received in out proofs and we are not happy..

This is where I had my invitations done, it is one of my very good friends companies bu they did an amazing job on the invites and the programs.

My makeup was by MAC and done by 2 of my good friends. Amazing job

Jewelry was from Macy's.ALso wedding bands.

Flowerama A
This is where the guys rented there tuxes and they were very helpful, and done on time.

Our flowers were a gift form my husbands best friend. Thye were done in Woodhaven and turned out beautiful

I bought my veil and headpiece at Tri COunty Mall .. AMAZIng

The Astoria World Manor B

Well we booked the Astoria Manor because we heard the food was good and the deals they gave were good. The 1st BM we dealt w/ turned out to be not as helpful as she seemed.. But the week before our wedding when she had caused us insanity, the head BM helped us out and took care of everything. We had the Gold Cotillion Room , which was nice the room temperature was a
little to the xtreme and never fixed while the night went on but we dealt w/ it.. The rolling bars were great and always stocked
the service was amazing .. ALso the one plus was in our bridal suite was a photo studio so that was handy.

Satisfaction Guaranteed A +++++++

This was our dj and MC.. They were amazing and the dance floor was never empty. They also had someone coming around taking digital pictures and then puttin gthem up on a screne. They also mailed us the disk after the wedding which was really nice.

Honeymoon A +++
We only took a mini vacation until after the baby is born. We went to the Borgats in AC and as soon as we got there they upgraded us to a suite, we won some money so we had a lot of stuff comped so it was a great weekend

I also want to say NYC Weddings A+++++
This website helped me sooo much and gave me some very great ideas, like the slipper basket which was highly appreciated, and the bridesmaid poems.. too much to go on.. But I wanted to thank you guys too.

Update on my review..
Queens Bridal D -
My proofs were cut sideways and I still have no video and we were told 3-5 months.. It is over 5 months..
I also did not receive my albums yet...
