Review TIME!

WEATHER : A+
October 13th was an absolutely gorgous day about 65, sunny and just a slight breeze. PERFECT!

SWAN CLUB : A +++
The swan club completely exceeded our expectations by a million! We looked at a lot of places before deciding on the Swan Club. It's immaculate. Our maitor d' (sp) was Paul and we just love him. He was the 1st person we had met with there and when we booked had requested him to be our M D' because he was so friendly and attentive. They kept everything running perfect him and Maureen (our bridal attendant) were unstopable! I wasn't even done with my drink and they would be there with another for me. They served us dinner with white gloves and even offered us a sampler to share of all of the choices off our menu. So future Swanies have nothing to worry about, you are in great hands!



The gardens were immaculate!

I have to be honest this was the one Vendor I was most nervous about. You book them and that's it. You don't see them til it's time to pick music. It felt like such a gamble to me. I knew these guys cause they went to my high school and they really kicked ***. They were awesome. I hear a lot of girls on here talk about being worried nobody will dance for a daytime wedding.....well people freakin' cut up the dance floor and I owe that to AODJ's! They ROCK!

Gorgous Flowers, Absolutely gorgous!
This was by far the best deal we got. They are a wholesaler that my family uses and they have the best quality for the price. I was very impressed!

STRATHMORE LIMOS ~ A
This is a friend of my cousins, so we just booked them. We only ordered a town car to pick us up at the end of the night, but they sent a LIMO! Can't complain about that!


GLEN COVE MANSION ~ B
I give them a B only because we reserved our rooms to have two double beds and we got kings.....however they upgraded us to suites and they had pull out couches. The couch beds were really uncomfortable though. The grounds there are gorgous and we took pictures there in the morning before heading to the swan club. We also had a kick *** after party at the bar upstairs after the reception was over. I definately recommend this place to anyone getting married at the SC.

ATTIRE

My Dress ~ Watters Brides (bought at a bridal shop in NJ=tax free) I absolutely love my dress. It was the 3rd and final one I tried on. I actually choose my veil 1st and told the sales lady about it and she brought that dress out and I fell in love!
My mothers landlady did the alterations...and she is a genius!!!!!! she created the bow in the back (originally it was just a sash that hung and gathered down the butt crack), she also added lace to the tips of the sash and the pearls to the waist area and bow.



MOB Dress ~ Macy's on the SALE RACK!!!!!!!
She actually went one day and bought three dresses and then let me pick out of them. I choose this one. She looked AWESOME!
MOG Dress ~ Macy's as well SALE RACK!!!!!!!
She picked this out and I really didn't have a preferance. I just wanted everyone to feel comfortable and like themselves.

purchased at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa.
We had a nice experiance at Bridal Reflections. I know i've heard some complaints on the boards. The girls picked this dress (yes I let them pick), I picked the colors and that's how it went!!!!!!!! I was hoping they would pick tea length!

Went in...pick them out...ordered them...they came in just a few wks later....TA DA!!! DONE!
They looked so cute!


MY VEIL ~ A++++++ ~ Also bought in NJ (tax free), the designer is BelAir Bridal
I knew I wanted to wear a mantilla before I even knew I was getting married.
Like I said I choose this veil before the dress! And it ended up matching my dress exactly.....go figure!

HAIR ~ Michelle Olivo ~ A++++
One of my closest friends. We went to HS together and have known each other since we were about 10. She is genius! When we did the trial I brought a few pics of stuff I liked and she just morphed it all together and Vooollllaaaa!
I just love what she did.


MAKE-UP ~ Nicole Tenga ~ A+++
OKAY. This girl is awesome. I booked a trial with her the same day as my bridal shower. My DH found her info and gave it to my MOH. My MOH called and got nicole in on the surprise and rescheduled for the next day.....All without me knowing! She did a beautiful job on me, my mother, and my sister (MOH).

This was the one vendor that I was most concerned about getting a solid company. We met with them and we booked them on the spot! They are awesome, do beautiful beautiful work and have pretty resonalble rates. We got really lucky and had John Harrison shoot our big day. He is the freakin best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our proofs are gorgous! so many great shots. I couldn't believe it.
