LIW-A+ - I coulnt imagine my wedding being planned and me getting the best vendors if it weren’t for liweddings. I am still addicted to it even thought I told my “HUSBAND” that I would curb my use of this fantastic website after the wedding was over and that didn’t happen LOL. I have gotten so many ideas from other brides and given out some of my own. This site is priceless for the brides getting married on LI/NYC. Thank you all!!!!!!

Diamond roof- rings- Sam (tri county) A+

First of all the whole engagement wouldn’t have happened with out the ring. We were just “looking” because my husband wanted me to Love my ring. So once he saw that I loved something before I knew it the next weekend he had the ring and proposed…. I didn’t think It was going to happen that fast after shopping.

Anyway we got everything appraised and it appraised for much more. We were so happy we got our wedding bands from there too he custom made mine since I coulndn’t find anything I liked to go with my engagement ring. I would totally recommend him to anyone and I know. I will be getting a birthday present from there this year. A nice pair of earrings

Mother nature kicked arse on my wedding day!!!!!!! So the day before my wedding I am getting my mani and pedi and all I hear on the radio that it is going to be a 100% chance of rain. I just shrugged it off my shoulders and said what can I do about it. well the next morning it was raining especially on my way to go and get my hair done. By the time my hair was finished and I went to go and pick up my gown the rain stopped. Once we got to the hotel I saw the sun coming out. And it turned into a beautiful day!!! My mother told me when she was driving that the temp said 62 degrees out!!!! We really lucked out we started taking pictures outside at about 3. and didn’t stop until about 5ish. Since I was the only wedding that night at the fox hollow I got to take pictures everywhere outside. Thanks mother nature!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fox hollow was not my first choice after looking at about 15 halls. That was because one of my bms was getting married there about 4 months before me. However it was one of the best decisions of our whole wedding. From the time I walked into my reception room I could picture our wedding there. (the winter garden pavilion) with the fire place going the room is gorgeous. The hall met all of my expectations for my wedding day. I am soo happy I booked my wedding there. It was so far one of the happiest days of my life

I booked with gulio who is no longer there he was fantastic no pressure to book in fact I went back about 4 times before actually booking. He answered all of my questions whenever I called and didn’t hesitate to update my contract after they had changed management. I was upset when he left but that didn’t sour me about the FH at all. He even took us to the hotel and showed us the rooms and he comped us the room for our wedding night which he said they did to all of there brides getting married in jan/feb.

We met with Sandra for our menu meeting we went over everything she was great. I got the chocolate fountain. She even let me put duck on the menu and take out another entrée. I love duck and she let me pick from there new dessert menu. Great experience again.

At our friends wedding we saw how sam worked his arse off the whole night to please everyone. So after the wedding my husband spoke with him and we requested him as our matre de at our wedding. From beginning to end everything went smoothly. I had full confidence that he knew exactly what he was doing. I would recommend him to all the brides on here.

The night before the wedding I was dropping everything off and making final payment we met with keith the operations manager. He was nice, funny and kept on top of everything I wanted. I also found out I was going to be the only bride that night. I was sooo excited about that. They had some sort of dinner going on for a chamber of commerce. So that made my year. Keith even checked in on us during the wedding just to make sure everything was going as planned.

Our bridal attendant was renne. I am very picky about this bridal attendant stuff when I first booked the fh I told them I didn’t want some teenager helping me on my wedding day and if that is what they gave me I would send her back. But I was pleasantly surprised about how much she helped me get through the day. She was over at the fh inn earlier then I expected. She followed all of the instructions on where everything was going. She carried all my stuff over from the hotel to the bridal suite at the fh. Our drinks were always filled. She knew during our picture taking right before the ceremony with all of my family was getting to me so she came over to me as I wanted to pass out on the chaise lounge if I wanted everyone gone. I said “you can do that?” and a minute later the room emptied thank god. I was exausted from my family. And she was with me until about 2 am when she had packed one of each entrée for us to go and our cake and all of our other stuff over to the hotel. Again she was great and I would recommend her to any bride. Your in good hands.

The Food at the fox hollow(Yes we actually did get to eat at the wedding) was sooo good we did have the ch food our bridal attendant brought up everything that I requested from the cocktail hour. And I had the duck for dinner yummy!!!! My husband had the steak which was soooo good too!!! everyone raved about the food. Especially the chocolate fountain a lot of people had never seen one before.


Note: to all Fox hollow girls even thought I brought all of my favors in alphabetical order as they asked they never put them on the table that way. Make sure they do that because it is confusing for all the guests to search for there name all jumbled up.

I only met with on photographer for my wedding and that was 12th night. He was totally in my budget even thought I did go a bit over but it was worth it having both dom and mike shoot our wedding day. They love what they do and I was looking for all of my vendors to have that passion for there jobs. There style of shooting was exactly what I was looking for and was one of the easiest decisions about my wedding day. Our engagement shoot was perfect we did it in November and our wedding was in feb. nice right. On the day of the wedding they were both early they started snaping away. They even made the posed shots bearable. It was great to see mike fall out of the bushes trying to get a good picture of me. I started hysterically laughing. They made even my husband comfortable taking all of those pictures. They came out wonderful!!!! Again I would recommend them to anyone. And Dom Congrats on getting engaged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What can I say about vinny that hasn’t been said before??? He was great!!! He was the second dj that I met with and I knew I wanted him as my dj after our meeting I actually booked him on the spot. The day of the wedding he was there on time. Everything went great. He was not all in your face he let everyone have a great time and dance. I knew that for my wedding my mom’s side and my friends would be the people on the dance floor the most. However even my dads family at least once got up to dance. Again totally recommend him to any bride or anyone throwing any kind of party. I never had to even think or worry about this vendor.

I went to about 5 or 6 florists and as soon as I met john I knew he was my florist. I had an Idea of what I wanted my centerpieces to be as well as my bouquets and my girls. He got a bit creative and really made it work somewhat in my budget. I only went over a little with this but it was worth it to get the centerpieces I wanted. From beginning to end he was a pleasure to work with.

I booked ray the week before my wedding. I saw his work and loved it I booked him by his website only and obviously the reviews that I have seen on here. Actually vinny from high voltage let him know I was looking for a last minute videographer. THANKS Vinny!!!! Ray and his assistant were really early which was great because they got shots of me still getting my makeup done. I am sooo glad we decided to get a video last minute. It was totally worth it. after the whole day is over you only have your picts, and video the really relive the day. I barley knew that ray and his assistant were around throughout the wedding very unobtrusive. Cant wait to see the finished product!!! I would totally recommend him to any bride!!!!!!

eta: We finally got our video back we were so excited to see it. it was everything i wanted it wasnt to long and it didnt drag on like i have seen in other videos. i loved what ray did and i would totally use him again!!!!!!!!!! so happy we got a video.

I knew I wanted gorgeous invites. However since I went over budget with a few vendors this is where I had to cut some corners. When I stumbled upon this website I knew I had to get my invites from there. I wanted something different and elegant. I got everything very timely I ordered on a Monday and got all the supplies by Wednesday. She is based in California. I had to print everything my self and even glue in the liners. It was soooo time consuming I would recommend if you do diy invites that you get a bms help or something. The prices are great. She will answer any questions again a fabulous vendor.

Again another vendor I booked last minute. I thought I would just have vinny do my ceremony. But then I changed my mind and wanted something else. Especially after I had asked my godmother to sing her “ave maria”(she sings this at all family weddings) Natalie worked with me and my aunt to find the perfect music for my ceremony. Songs that I didn’t even think to concider. So we picked Winter by four seasons vivaldi for the bridal party, then for me and my parents we picked everything I do I do it for you by bryan adams. Then the ressesional we picked I will by the beatles. It was the best and imo unique. Natalie was great and again I would totally recommend her.

Cookyman 877-Cookyman -favors cookies A+

I stumbled upon cookyman on ebay. Then we went back and forth on emails and he was local I ordered about 160 mini black and white cookies from him. We met and he gave me a dozen samples I loved the product I ordered he had them for me in a few days. They were amazing I am so glad I found him he was a pleasure to work with. On time quality product. And he even said he was talking with ron and liz about becoming a vendor on here. And the price you cannot beat the prices on the cookies and he must have given me about 3 dozen extra then I ordered which everyone did eat!!!!!

I ordered these boxes which I used as favor/table card. They came on time no complaints here I would definetly order from them again. Loved my final product.

I wanted to do the initial cake topper but I didn’t know if I wanted crystals all over it. so I figured ill see when I get it. I didn’t have to touch it at all with one rhinestone. I ordered the gold mirrored one. since my colors were ivory/gold/ reds. Gorgeous again very timely exactly what I wanted.


Sister-made cake A+

After going over everything and having many many tastings my cake came out wonderful. She is a pastry chef and worked with Cheryl Kleinman for about a year. My sister and I came up with an almond flavored cake with cannoli and raspberry filling with a fondant icing (which didn’t taste bad) and she had hand painted the decorations in gold. It was so funny as I walked in to see the cake she was still doing it and she hid behind it because she thought I wouldn’t like it well she was wrong I loved it. I really challenged her and she said to me that she is never doing a hexagon shape cake ever again!!!!!



My diy- card box, invitations, menus, favors

I would like to thank cannon for the printers at my job, shhhhh don’t tell anyone. I printed my invites and favor tags at my job. I printed the invites and all of the envelops at home. It was all hard stuff to do but it was worth it. Also my card box I really should have put more time into this but I didn’t. so ill tell you how I did it. I bought 4 photo mats put the pictures in them hot glued all of them together. Then I bought gold poster board cut them to size cut a slit on the top and hotglued them on the top and bottom and viola!!! Easy card box. I took It apart after wards and put all of the matts in to frames and hung them in our new place.
My favors were two mini black and white cookies boxed with a state lotto ticket for the next night. these also doubled as place cards for the guests.



Dress- Demetrios A+

This was the second hardest thing to choose for my wedding. I have designed wedding gowns before. I went to school for fashion design. So everyone expected me to design and make my own gown. I was too afraid that I would like the outcome. So I did the next best thing. I finally picked a gown I loved!!!!!!!!!! With some help from you girls on LIW!!!! Then I went up to the demetrios show room and customized the colors and fabric and beading. They did a fabulous job and I got the dress of my dreams….. I didn’t need any alterations except for a bustle




Headpiece- Me!!!!!! (how can I grade myself????)

Yes ladies I made my own head piece that was inspired by this picture. I went to TOJO in the city to get all the supplies of head band, tons of crystals/pearls and such and wire. I think all the supplies cost me about 50 bucks. I enjoyed doing this. the only thing is I wish I finished it sooner then the night before my wedding. I do my best work under pressure. I had it finished about 2 months before the weddidng then I didn’t like the irridecent crystals in it so I totally took it apart and started over again. And I finally finished at 3 o’clock in the morning the night before my wedding!!!!!!!!




Veil and bustle-Fancesca lillettes A+

I had an idea of what my veil should be I had a “walk” length veil it almost hit the ground and I had them put it on a giant hair pin so that it would be able to go into the middle of my hair instead of back or front of my hair style. It is similar to the imfamous “veil on a stick”.

Francesca also did my bustle I loved it and it was everything I wanted. Except for my sister stepping on it but that got fixed so no biggie.

Nothing to complain about here all the girls dresses and my mothers dresses came in correctly all the alterations were good.

All the tuxes came in correctly except for my fathers pants which got fixed and everything went well good prices I would definetly use them again.

I first had dawn do my hair for my other friends wedding and she did an awesome job. So I hired her to do my hair for my wedding. I didn’t even go for a trial for my hair I just brought a picture that day and that’s it she did such a great job I am going to start using her as my new hair person. I really need a cut now!!!!!

Again another vendor I hired that my friend used for her wedding. Again I didn’t have a trial for my day I winged it and as soon as Jackie saw my dress and the colors in it her eyes lit up and she did my face I was soooooo pleased I keep getting comments on how great a job she did. I love her!!!!!!

He married my mother and best friends last year and the ceremonies were beatuful and a bit funny he kept everyone relaxed. I would totally recommend him he answered all the questions I had and even did the rose ceremony beautifully.


Honeymoon- Ruth Cota Liberty Travel in Baldwin /aventrua spa palace-playa del carmen/American airlines A+

I use ruth for just about every trip I go on she is sooo nice and she did match a price I got from somewhere else. She always lets me know what the good places to stay and which ones are not worth it. she is always very honest with me about the trips we take. We also stayed within our budget stayed for the amount of time we originally planned for. We had an awesome time on our honeymoon and she even had a card sent to us so when we got home that was the first thing we opened she wanted to make sure everything went well. And as usual we had an awesome time!!!!!

As for the airlines it was great because it was not full so we sprawled out on the seats. No first class though oh well. That was fine. And on the way home as well the flight was not packed. We usually fly American and we will continue to.

From the first time we got out of the van being dropped off at our resort we were treated like royalty. We never had to lift a finger. They greeted us with drinks. We got into our room we unpacked we were soooooo tired so we ordered room service took a Jacuzzi and fell asleep. Our honeymoon was about relaxation we had been to mexico before(did all the sightseeing then) so we didn’t go sight seeing or anything like that. We woke up everymorning to either breakfast in our room or down in one of the reasturants. Then to the pool/beach to relax and drink and swim ohh they had a live band every day by the south pool from 3-5. Lunch then “rest in the room” then we always went to a late dinner. This place had about 6 places to eat all of them were fantastic. We are definetly going back I just wish it was sooner then further away. We had the best time. I would recommend this place to any honeymooners!!!!!!!

In the end my wedding was totally worth it!!! even my husband said so and he didn’t want a “big” wedding in the first place. Mind you I only had 120 people. So far it was the best day of our lives and I would totally love to relive that day again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you all enjoyed my review if you have any questions feel free to fm me!!!!!!







-Tip for the day of the wedding I put my lipstick into my bouquet so it was in there and I kept reapplying the whole day because I was carrying it with me the whole time….
