My August 5th Westbury Manor review, sorry it took me so long WITH PICS

Well, I will try to post my review again. I tried 2 weeks ago and when I went to post it, it all got erased!!! Everything went great, I couldn’t have been happier with everything. The day was amazing!!! So here we go again….


Party City A+
I ordered our invitations from here. The price was reasonable and they have regular name brand invitations at 30% off all the time. The invitations were ready within the week. The came out beautiful!!!!

I ordered the cameras from the wedding channel, I was originally going to get the Fugi cameras from somewhere else but decided to get the ones from the wedding channel since they had hearts on them and that was my theme. Well, I probably should have gotten the Fugi cameras. The quality of them was not so great. The close up pictures came out good but the far away and not so far away ones came out very grainy.

I love this place! I ordered my favors (heart measuring spoons) and ribbon from here. The prices, the service and the quality were amazing. I have used them for many other things (pre-wedding) and have never had a problem with them. My sister used them for her favors 2 years ago and the favor (wine bottle stopper) still looks great. I ordered extra favors just incase after the wedding I had 36 left over, I went there and returned them for my money back no questions asked. I would recommend them to anyone!!

I also decided to make Jordan Almond Flowers as favors. This company was so helpful. I ordered all the supplies through them and made them myself. They can make them for you for an extra charge but I decided to be crafty and make them myself. They came out so cute but it took me forever to make them. She said that if I had any questions about how to make them to just call her. She was very helpful.

I did a search and found this site on my own. The prices were so reasonable that I was scared to see what they really looked like and was a little nervous to order from them. I ordered my nieces dress to see what they looked like and when I ordered it they said that it would be here in 3 days. Well, it came in 3 days and it was beautiful and well packed. 3 days before the wedding, one of my flower girls was hospitalized, she had a seizure from a high fever and wasn’t able to be in the wedding. I emailed the company and told them what happened and they said that we could return the dress for store credit. We would have like the money back but at least they gave us something.

Bridal Suite of Bay Shore A+
I know that there are mixed feelings about them on here but I have to say that they were great, no complaints. I found my dress and my mother’s dress at another store for a cheaper price and Bay Shore Bridal met the prices for both dresses, didn’t charge me for alterations on my dress and gave me $100 towards the veil that I picked out. The girls dresses were beautiful and they were all fitted perfect.

Tuxedo Park B-
Out of all the things were had to do I thought that this was the hardest thing to pick out. We got married in August so were wanted the lightweight tuxes and we couldn’t find them anywhere except Tuxedo Park. They were a little pricey, that’s what made the decision so difficult. We didn’t want every to pay so much for a rented tux. So we paid money towards everyone’s tuxes. The other thing that made the decision so difficult was that they gave you $250 credit to the store that you could split up however you wanted. Most tux places give you the groom’s tux free and the father’s ½ off. That’s why I didn’t want to pick them b/c they didn’t do that. Well, when it came time to get fitted for the tuxes that wasn’t the problem, (they all got fitted in Glen Cove) the problem was when they went to pick them up. Half of the guys tuxes were in Huntington and half were in Glen Cove. (Everyone got fitted in Glen Cove, we booked them in Huntington) Well 2 days before the wedding I had the groomsmen calling me saying that there tuxes weren’t there. Make a long story short, I called and made them bring all of the tuxes to Glen Cove and they did within 2 hours. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t have picked Tuxedo Park, they weren’t worth their price. But the tuxes did look nice.

Salon De Caro A
All of my bridal party including my mom and myself had our hair and make up done here. Everyone looked beautiful!

Duval A++++
They were GREAT. My sister used them for her wedding 2 years ago and they did an awesome job for her wedding and thats why we picked them. I requested Frank Z. b/c that is who my sister used and he was great, he made taking pictures fun. I just got back the proofs and they came out amazing. The videographer was also excellent; you didn’t even know he was there. I would recommend them to anyone.

Pedestals A++++
Once again we picked them for our florist b/c my sister used them also. They were great! The flowers arrived a ½ hour early and they were beautiful.

Alexis Limo A++++++++
They really did an amazing job. The limo came ½ hour early and the limo bus came 15 minutes early. The limo drivers were so nice and the limos were spotless!! We all loved the limo driver b/c he kept telling us how beautiful we all looked J We had a short period of rain at the time we got to the church so they walked us out of the limos one by one with an umbrella. They were just great all around, I liked them so much, I wanted to invite them to the reception.

Body Rock A+++++++++
Once again, my sister used them but so did about 5 of our friends. I had Sergio and he was great from the first to the last song. He kept checking in with us to see how everything was going. The dance floor was NEVER empty. I had people coming up to me at the reception asking me who they were b/c they were so great.

And last but by far not the least….
WESTBURY MANOR A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ok where do I begin, they are AMAZING!!!!!! When we pulled up in the limo bus our bridal attendant (Lupita) and Matre D (Raul) were waiting for us. They brought us down to where the garden is to take pictures. They had food and drinks waiting for us down in the garden. (amazing, sorry) After pictures we went to cocktail hour to greet our guests. They opened cocktail hour up ½ hour earlier to accommodate our guest who were early. We were so busy talking we really didn’t get to eat. Lupita made us both plates of food to eat, I tried to eat but I was to excited to eat. Cocktail hour was so beautiful everything was the way it was suppose to be except one thing. We had noticed that the sushi was not out so we asked Raul where it was and there was a misunderstanding, they thought it was suppose to be passed and it was suppose to be a display. He told us that he would be right back and when he came back the display was set up. (Love them, sorry) Everything was just amazing. Everyone kept telling us they loved the place and that everyone was so nice there. Two people in our bridal party said they wanted to get re-married so they can get married there. The food was amazing, service was amazing, and my Bridal attendant was AMAZING. She did everything for me. Whenever my glass was empty (sometimes not even empty) she was right there with another one for me. At first I thought it was a little weird having someone follow me around but let me tell you I got very used to it! The night went so fast I didn’t want it to end. From being on Liweddings and hearing all the good things about Westbury Manor I knew that I wouldn’t have anything to worry about and that everthing would be great I just didn’t know Westbury Manor would be that great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At the end of the night Lupita gave me her email address to send her some pictures of the night (we became friends, I love her!!) I sent her pictures and she called me and emailed me to thank me. If you can request a Bridal Attendant, request her. I cant say enough about her and the Westbury Manor. I still keep hearing compliments about the wedding. To all you Westbury Manor girls…. You have nothing to worry about!!

I have to say that we were really lucky to have not had 1 bad vendor. Everything was AMAZING, PERFECT. I want to do it all over again!
