Sorry this review has taken me so long and I apologize if some of the pics are off center but I tried my best.

Review:

First and foremost I have to say that I feel my wedding was everything I always dreamed it would be. Of course things go wrong and nothing is ever 100 percent perfect but you cannot let things let you down. It is your day and you have to enjoy every moment of it.

LIW:
This website has been the best thing in all of my wedding planning. I got so many creative ideas from it and was able to collaborate with other brides during times when I was completely stressing out.

St. Frances De Chantal

This is my hsubands parish and his family is very religious. We chose to get married here and I am so glad I did. Deacon Bob married us and made our ceremoney so personal that is was beautiful. After the cereemoney everyone kept telling me that was the most beautiful ceremony I have even been to. It was nice to hear. Everything went perfect with St. Frances.

Invitations:

I went to Party Sensations b/c DH’s uncle knew someone who worked there. I ordered my invites and loved them.

Onto the problem and why I would never recommend them. At first I was quoted a price and then the day later I was told that there would be an increase of approximately $50. Once my invitations arrived they were beautiful but once again I was told another price and got stuck paying that. She never told me that there was another price increase and just went and ordered them anyhow. This was completely unfair to me so I had to pay the additional price.

Calligraphy:
A Fine Letter

Someone on this site told me about a fine letter and I used them. She did an amazing job on my invites and I got many compliments on the calligraphy. She hand writes them and that is exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend her.

Limousines:

I went and booked Royalty and although I was a bit nervous b/c my friend has used them 2 months prior and we were in the limos and none of them had air conditioning and it was July and about 95 degrees out. Lucky me I ordered 2 12-14 passenger Limos, a hummer and the Excalibur and all cars were immaculate, showed up on time and were wonderful. I was very happy with them although we were supposed to have an airport pickup and the driver never showed. This was a big problem b/c we had no ride home from the airport and had to wait to get another ride home. BIG NO NO!!!!!!!!!

Flowers:

By far one of my best vendors. I originally went to Pedestals and Flowers by Brian and came very close to booking Flowers by Brian. I went to Flower Michelle last and I am so glad. Originally I dealt with Mike and then John took over my order. Flowers were really important to me b/c I feel as if they change the whole look of a room. I had a rather large order; I needed 30 centerpieces, 12 bridal bouquets, etc. Well my flowers were AMAZING!!! They arrived on time and everything looked beautiful. John is wonderful and I highly recommend him. I loved dealing with him and could not have been happier:

I had Danny as my main photographer and a week before my wedding I decided to hire a photojournalist. His name was Anthony and they were both phenomenal. They arrived early and did an amazing job. They were quick and I highly recommend them. The only issue I have with them is that I feel as if I should have gotten more pictures in my digital album for the money I spent. I only got 60 pictures and I had to add more so I ended up spending a lot more money to add these pictures in. They did throw in a lot more 8x10 and 5x7 pictures for me though. I feel that they are a bit more expensive than some other photographers but I was very pleased and they did a wonderful job.

Trumpet Players:

I hired the Royal Brass for the church to add a special touch to the church and I am so glad I did. They were amazing and very easy to deal with. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. Also, 5 days before the wedding our bagpipers canceled on us and Roger was able to get me a bagpiper at the last minute. Once again I was very satisfied.

DJ & MC:
Feel the Vibe

This was the easiest decision I made because I have been friends with the owners of Feel the Vibe for over 15 years. They have been in this business for years and I have seen them and worked with them at parties several times. I knew they were going to be the ones to do my wedding when my time came. They recently went out on their own and are wonderful. Izzy was my MC and Edwin was my DJ and I also hired a percussionist. Music to me is one of the most important things and I was so happy that I had nothing to worry about with them because they are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wedding Bands:
I had a hard time getting a band to match my engagement ring. When I tell you I went all over the diamon district in Manhattan I did. I work in the city and I would spend many lunch hours there. Finally I walked into Michael C. Fina and found a band that matched exactly. They were great. Definately more pricey than I wanted to spend but I was happy with what I got.

DH is not into jewelry at all. We got his band from a jeweler that I have been using at Tri-County for years. Zareen Jewelers. They were great and he is happy with his band.

Wedding Gown:

I first went to Kleinfelds because I had heard so many wonderful things about them. When I went there I left very upset and as if I would never find a dress that I loved. The consultant that I had was horrible and after 30 minutes said that my appointment was just about over. Mind you my appointment was scheduled for one hour and I made that clear to her. Each dress she showed me I didn’t really love and she repeatedly kept saying “WELL THESE ARE IN YOUR PRICE LIMIT.” The next day I made an appointment at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset. They were nothing short of spectacular. The consultant spent about 2 hours wit me and I found the dress of my dreams. Everything went perfect my alterations, service, etc….
One bit of advice that I can give brides is to get your dress a bit shorter b/c I ended up stepping all over my dress and ripped my bustle. Thank god my bridal attendant was great and was able to pin it for me.

Sandy's Shoes
I got my shoes there, my mother got her shoes there and so did a few of the bridesmaids. I have been to Sandy's many times and they were wonderful. I highly recommend them:

Bridal Party, Flower Girls and MOB Dress:

I have a rather large bridal party and Renate’s was great. All my dresses came in on time. The alterations were great and everyone looked beautiful. My mom also got her dress there and looked amazing. They were so great that my aunt and my 2 cousins got their dresses there for my wedding as well. I was so happy with them and I highly recommend them.

Veil and Tiara:

A friend of mine had used them so went there and was happy that I did. My viel and tiara came in on time and was everything I wanted.
After I picked up my veil I realized I wanted some crystals on it so I took it to Barron’s in Tri-County Flea Market and let me tell you ladies they are wonderful. I could have went there to get my viel and spent a quarter of the price. In the end my veil looked beautiful and I was very happy.

Hair and Make-Up:
I have been going to a girl named Kelly for my hair for a few years ago and we did two trials and I was very happy. The day of my wedding I went to the shop where she used to work and my hair cam out even better. I was so happy she did an amazing job.

My friend Jessica was a makeup artist/manager for Mac for a few years and I always loved the way she did my makeup. She did a great job on me and my family as I knew she would.

Tuxedos:
Town & Country
We went to this place b/c DH knew someone who worked there. Well let me just say that they messed up on my Father in Law, the Best Man and my uncles tuxes. They measured wrong and have the best man the wrong color tie and vest. Luckily the day of the wedding the best man was able to get his fixed.
I do not recommend them and would not use them again.

Rehearsal Dinner:
Domenico’s Restarant
We go to eat here a lot and they do a lot of private parties so this was an easy choice. The food and service was great. I highly recommend going there for dinner of having a party there.

Reception Hall:

I had a big wedding (over 300 people) and I knew that I needed a large ballroom that could accommodate everyone. My biggest concern was food and that nobody would be sitting on top of eachother. I went to Leonard’s for several affairs and knew that they could accommodate a big wedding. Everything prior to the wedding went amazing. I dealt with Ian a lot and he was nothing but spectacular. The day of the affair my room looked beautiful and I was so happy. The only issues that I had was that we were supposed to have 3 bars and there were only 2 so at first there was a huge crowd at the bars. DH went over to our Matre D who was Bruno and he immediately went and got another bar. This solved the problem really quick. Also my father was very upset that the beers were smaller than most beer bottles are and we were never told this. The Viennese hour was great but Antonio told me that he would throw in candy apples for me and it was on my contract but there werenever there. This was extremely disappointing considering the money we spent. Despite these few things everything was perfect. The food was amazing and everyone raved about it especially the cocktail hour. I added the raw bar to my cocktail hour and it was amazing. The shrimps and the lobster were huge and the clams and oysters were a hit as well. I am glad I decided to get married there!

Honeymoon:

I really wanted to go to Hawaii but DH could not get the time off of work so after reading posts on the Royal Hideaway I decided to book there. The place is nothing short of spectacular. Absolutely beautiful. The service, rooms, restaurants are amazing. It is real fine dining. The only thing that I found about the Royal Hideaway is that there was only one show at nighttime the entire time we were there. It definitely got a bit boring at nighttime but it was extremely relaxing and you are treated like royalty.

Your wedding was beautiful. You and Tom (my SoCo partner )make a great couple. Your wedding was very different which I know made your parents happy and Anthony and I were honored to part of it. There were so many special touching things about your wedding that really made it unique and memorable.
