Thank you so much, everyone! I didn't expect so many responses already! Thank you!

I actually got some FMs asking about my veil. It's by Stephen Yaerick (like my dress) and has a satin border and I believe it's hand-embroidered. It wasn't necessarily cheap...but I think it was worth it. I'm wearing the dress/veil again when we do another reception in Japan in November, but after that I plan to sell the veil. I will post here when I do!

Great review! I LOVE your veil, have never seen another like it! Love the Indian dress also...you looked beautiful - !

I also used Bliss and couldn't agree more - Jerry and his staff rock!...and as far as Lina goes, well she was my 'dream' photographer but I just couldn't afford her...I have yet to see a bad picture or read a bad review of her. Congratulations!

And about the weather...it's so true, they're always wrong! Glad to see your beautiful, clear, sunny day pictures!

OK - that was long! LOL

Want to find a unique veil b/c dress has no embellishment.

Everything looked so wonderful on your day.

Hey, did you opt against the chair covers?
Were there any peacocks interfering w/ the ceremony?
You said guests were misdirected to another room, were any gifts misdirected (card, boxes, etc)?

Thank you! I love wearing saris... I think our Japanese and American guests enjoyed it also because it was unique.
We actually didn't incorporate any Indian or Japanese culture into this wedding (other than the sari, and also playing 30% Indian music at the reception)... However we did have a traditional Indian ceremony in India earlier this year, so we played a DVD from it (they really liked the part where the groom shows up on a white horse!). We're also doing a reception in Japan later this year...this is a crazy year for us!

Yes, we decided against the chair covers which created extra work for the Manor because they needed to remove them. You might think we're crazy but we just didn't like them for some reason.... I guess we wanted things to look more natural?? Hmm.
The peacocks were around before the ceremony but I think they put them away. I didn't see them after that. Although we definitely heard them during the ceremony! It was so loud and made us laugh, the officiant even made a comment about it. It wasn't annoying at all, it was funny and made us relaxed.
Gifts, I think we got them all...not sure about one or two actually, but we don't know if they just didn't bring any or we didn't get them. It's a little awkward to ask...
