Summer wedding ideas....?

My wedding is in August and I am having the hardest time thinking of bouquet, centerpiece and favor ideas. What are other summer brides doing? Hint: I am on a tight budget and would really like to use candles for the centerpieces (FH's family owns a candle company). Thanks everyone!! :)

Summer wedding ideas....?

Recently I have seen sunflowers for the centerpieces as well as the bouquet, which are very nice and unique. Usually throughout the year you see roses and tulips. For favors for the wedding, I have often seen picture frames and chocolate bars or bottles of wine with your wedding date on them. Hal T&T Video Productions

Summer wedding ideas....?

Dear Melissa, I was recently at a wedding, and they had rows of lit candles as the centerpiece, so you can do that, using candles. The bouquets usually range from tulips to roses or carnations, but any favorite flower will do. One good favor, in which you can use the candles would be to have a candle in a glass holder, with a small picture of you guys on the holder, or your date on a ribbon. I have seen tables set with candles or similar objects surrounded by a variety of rose petals on the table. It looked just fine.Good luck.

Dea Melissa, There is a fantastic book 'The Perfect Wedding Reception' by Maria Mc Bride Mellinger -editor at Bride`s Magazine. You can pick it up in Barnes and Nobles bookstores as well as other stores. Candle centerpieces with scattered rose petals is nice. Or maybe bowls of floating candles. You can put them together yourself. Michaels Arts and Crafts has everything you'll need.
How about wedding cake cookies as favors?

I just found the website for Maria Mc Bride Mellinger -the author of 'The Perfect Wedding Reception' book. She has several other books that also might help you.
Look at http://www.mariamcbride.com
Another one of her books is 'The Perfect Wedding'.
You can probably find these in any book store. Go onto her website and see the descriptions of the books.This should definitely be able to help you -betweeen the ideas from the different books.
