Re: Timber Point Golf & Country Club

I just checked my schedule and it said 'Timberpoint 2pm - ask for lenore'. I thought you guys would get a kick out of that. Im calling right now to reschedule. Can I get someone's first name in case Lenore picks up the phone and asks why I dont want to meet with her. I just want to say, well so and so is getting married there and she referred me to Michael and Ben. Thanks guys

I never met with Lenore, so I don't know what she's like. I would say meet with her first, and see if you can meet with Ben or Michael while you're there. It can't hurt to look at the venue anyway.

I had my wedding at Timber Point & it was perfect & I did deal with Lenore(I originally booked with Laura who is no longer there). I was very nervous to deal with her myself, but everything turned out perfect. If your just seeing Timber Point, I'm sure Lenore can handle showing you around & there packages. If you want to book, you could always come back & I'm sure if you say you want to sign your contract with someone specific that person will be there(they won't want to lose a booking). We did deal with Ben when it came to specific $ issues in our contract right before the wedding. And Lenore wasn't even there on my wedding day, it was the matre'd & his staff that were AMAZING. Any bride who is getting married there who has Issaih as there Matre'd has NOTHING to worry about!

I'd say go look at TP. But don't do any contract stuff or negatioting or $$ stuff with Lenore. She gave me the run arround a couple of times and messed up one of my payments.

If you like TP after seeing it, tell them that you want to make an appointment with either Michael or Ben. You can say I recommended you to speak with one them. I'll FM you my last name if you need it.

I agree with peabody!! Go check it out with Lenore, get all your info and take a look around. When it comes time to signing the contract ask for an appt with Ben or Michael and they will be your catering manager. I guess I'll be the first to show pics in the new room since MY WEDDING IS THERE IN 31 DAYS!!!!!

Edited to add: My first name is Shana and FM me if you'd like my last name

I don't know where I read it now, I can't find it on here anymore - maybe it was an old post. But I saw something from someone who said that they had positive and negative things to say about a wedding they either attended there as MOH or as the bride. Everything else I've read has been wonderful and I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything! I've heard nothing but great things about Lessing's food so that's a relief for sure.

Also, has anyone heard good things about the house photographer - I think the name is Park photography or something like that?

Re: Timber Point Golf & Country Club

I didn't like the way they treated me on the phone, so I found my own photographer. We aren't using any house vendors....we preferred to find our own and are using more unknown vendors for specific reasons.

We interviewed Visual Concepts which is a house vendor. We thought their presentation was great, but way overpriced.

We didn't interview Park Ave. But I haven't really heard to many good things about them.

We went with Duet.

Ok thanks! That helps. I didn't speak with them yet - I just saw some of their work and liked the idea of the cocktail book they had.
