I'd get married in a different church. We met with our priest for months before the wedding and he never mentioned anything to me about no pictures during the ceremony. Well, day of the wedding, I walk down the aisle, get up on the alter, the priest welcomes everyone and say no pictures during the ceremony. My mouth dropped!! He waited til the day of to tell us this. I never asked because I never thought it was an issue. It was not a catholic church. I was sooo mad at that. So Thats is the one thing I would change!!!! We had to recreate special moments after the ceremony was over to take pics and it is so obvious in the pics that they were taken afterwards!!

Re: If you could do it all over again ...
There's not really anything I 'regret' about my wedding but there are a few things I would maybe do a little different if I could do it all over again:
1 - I would have done it for less $$$. I don't know HOW (without changing my hall which I loved) because I really didn't splurge on anything besides my gown and my Mom helped with that - but if I could do it for less $$$ I would have. I would have loved to have some of that money left over after the wedding.
2 - I would have not wasted time trying to get my humungous family together for photos during the CH so I could have enjoyed it more.
3 - I would have trusted my gut and gone with a different baker so I would have had a nicer cake.

I would have taken a few different pictures. I would have re-applyed lipstick later in the day I would have danced a little more

The only thing that I can think of is that I probably would have used a different florist. Not because of the final product, which was beautiful, but because of the aggrivation I had prior to the wedding and the morning of.
Other than that, we were happy with the way everything turned out.

I would have gotten married earlier so I could take more relaxed pictures and gone to my cocktail hour.

I would have let my MIL wear the white gown with mini-train that she wanted because SHE created the misery to begin with...

I would have done it for less money, even thought I can't think of where I would have been more 'frugaler'
Not have had so many people in our bridal party
Would have reappied makeup as the night went on
Had my hair done elsewhere and my makeup for that matter
Done my nails different
Told my MIL to shove it!!!!!!!!!!On a few different occasions

Re: If you could do it all over again ...
1-I wish I asked someone else to be my MOH 2-Left on the Monday after the wedding not the next morning for the honeymoon. 3-Not paid for a suite at the hotel on the wedding night. 4-Not invited my cousins who caused drama 5-Argued more to have the wedding in ARUBA!
Otherwise everything was wonderful, I wouldn't change anything. I loved all my vendors, the catering hall, my dress, my makeup even my nails!

Oh, I would have hit the sushi table at the coctail hour. There were so many things I wanted to try when we chose our menu and that day I forgot most of them.

I agree! Everyone keeps saying, 'The food was sooo good at your CH'.
I went into it saying I would eat everything but that didn't happen.

Re: If you could do it all over again ...
I would've included directions to the church. Some of DHs family got a bit lost....what's so hard about finding Queens???
Also wish we spent more time at the CH. It really couldn't be helped cause the ceremony started late and that just pushed everything back.
Oh well.....at least we have funny stories to tell our kids on day.....

Re: If you could do it all over again ...
what i would do different ..
i would have 1 less bridesmaid - the one who created all the drama
i would not have used miller place inn someone on their staff stole the bridesmaid's and usher's gifts when i was assured they would be in safe keeping there and then noone tried to remedy the problem.
i would have made a must take photo list - i didnt get pictures with some really important folks like my godmother
i would have taken a better control over the band - even though everyone seemed to love them alot of the things i wanted to do didnt get done because the band didnt follow the program we gave them. especially the dedication dance to my ssiter with her best friend - that still steams me.
i would not have allowed my gown to be cleaned by the cleaner i used they totally destroyed it.
