This is a Bridal Party question... people constantly asked me why i had such a big bridal party and that there must have been drama... blah blah blah...


My question is did you have drama with your wedding party? and how did you deal with it?

I got lucky because my 3 sisters and my 2 cousins and my 4 friends have all known each other our whole lives... ive known my four friends since we were born pretty much...

I only had two people-my sis and my best friend. There was no drama at all.

not really drama, but it did cause a bit of stress for me...

my moh got pregnant (unplanned) and was kinda ***** in the begining...other than that no drama,
besides well the fact that one of my bm's totally just stopped speaking to me after my wedding, with no explanation or anything! we have been friends since kindergarden! no idea what i did!

There was drama. Can't talk about it on here, but ohh was there drama. Fortunately I wasn't supposed to know about half of it so I HAD to stay out of it.

We didn't have that big of a bp, 4 girls and 3 guys, they were all family members, my sister/brother/cousin and DH's brother/sister/sil, so it was nice and easy and no drama, except for some mohzilla moments at times

Nope, not really - just minor drama with one BM who lived in Hoboken (I live in Queens) and bugged me constantly about how she was getting from point A to point B (she owns a car and, coincidentally, there are trains and buses in the world, too). She was calling me the night before my wedding and I was irked but just told her to call my MOH because I didn't want to worry about her transportation 'issues.'

I started out with 4 girls and had drama.. and at the very end, i was left with 3 girls... Those 3 were great together, but all could not stand the 4th... and then that 4th girl pissed me off so i said good riddance...

So even with just a handful of girls, there can be issues....

we had a very small BP (1 MOH and 1 BM) so there was no drama. but i did wish my MOH stepped up a little and helped out with my bach party and shower. i ended up planning my bach party and one of my friends who came out for the party was the one who bought all the bach party stuff like the sash, tiara, etc... and my MOH didnt stay the night in the hotel with us either. and for my shower, my mom paid for the whole thing and i had to delegate duties to my MOH.

I kept my BP (at least the girls) pretty small because I didn't want any drama. I had my sister, my 2 SILS (brother's wife and DH's sister) and then my 2 best friends that I've known for a very long time.

I only had my MOH and a junior bridesmaid....i had no drama with my bridal party for my wedding.

ETA: but at the end of my reception, my MOH decided it was okay to blow her top at one of our friends (her closest friend and BFF) and stand up at their table curse her out and make a scene.

Not everyone knew about it, but I had come to the table to say hello and all hell broke loose....to this day I am still very upset with my MOH coz she got upset over something soooooo stupid. Also, it didn't help that my MOH just gave us our wedding gift just a week ago. She said it had been in her car since the wedding.

yep.... two of our BP members dropped out 3 weeks to the wedding, we were able to replace one BM with DH's cousin at the last minute thank goodness!

My sister (MOH) caused me a LOT of grief. She didn't come to my b-party or my RD, and she barely even participated in the wedding itself. I was supposed to have my two nephews as RB's, but one refused to do it and she didn't even attempt to talk him into it (he's her son).

For the most part, the girls all got along, and when they didn't, they dealt with it themselves.

i had my sister (moh), sil, my half sister, bf from college, and bf from hs.

my half sister was the worst bridesmaid ever. i had to send her her dress and she wasn't home when they tried to deliver it multiple times so she had to go pick it up and sign for it within 15 days or they would send it back. she went to get it on the 15th day and then didn't return my calls or texts asking how it was, if it fit, if she liked it. then she didn't come to my bridal shower or bach party, and ditched the rd because she went out drinking with my cousins the night before and was too hungover to get out of bed and come to the rd!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she showed up the morning of the wedding with chipping purple nail polish and said she needed to go out and get her nails done bc she was too sick to do it the night before. and then she didn't give us anything - not even a card.

I had no drama at all with them.

My MOH was my cousin
My BM was my other cousin (they are sisters)

My Jr. BM was my 7 yr old cousin

LOADS of drama!!! Loads!! I only wanted 5 girls and 5 guys... and somehow it ended up being 9 girls and 9 guys.

There was drama at almost every corner I turned. I was actually disturbing to watch some very close and even some almost life long friends be totally and completely unable to put their own thoughts, feelings, etc aside on behalf of me. It was quite digusting actually. Some of the things they pulled were just nausiating!!

Now I know who I would go the extra mile for... and who I just shouldn't give a damn about. I have a whole new perspective of certain people now. And there's at LEAST 1 BM I no longer speak with. Teedering on a few more.

And I was seriously a VERY laid back bride. I honestly had so much going on all over the place... that I could barely even focus on their temper tantrums at the time. I didn't cause a fight with them, I didn't say bad things about them or to them really. I just took it all in... and kept moving forward. I didn't want to bring myself down to their levels. Then I would be no better than they were. I certainly didn't want any of it to cause more stress for me... so I did my best to ignore it. Now I know what they are like... I take that information and I move on from it... without them.

i had 9 BMs.. 9 GMs..2 RBs and 1FG. no drama whatsoever!! which is surprising lol

not crazy drama within the bp.... i did loose two bms but that was due to a serious medical issue

Not until the last month. I ended up kicking DH's cousin out of the BP with 3 weeks to go.
