I am just so excited that I can park under the building and not have to clean my car.

I just told a coworker we had no heat. he's calling my boss to tell me to go home.. We'll see what happens.

Joey just called from Jersey and he said he might stay there tonight (he's been there all week already) because they've got 3 inches already and it's really coming down and he doesn't get out til 4.

Can someone call him and tell him that STORM WATCH 08 has been cancelled?

I have to say it is pretty bad. I cant even drive anywhere right now bc the car wont go, its rear wheel drive which basically means it wont drive in the snow lol.

But i will have to trek it into the city by train to drop off the toys

I really *do* think Jersey's getting hit harder than we are. Sorta like what upstate NY is getting - 10+ inches... ? Where is he in Jersey?

My DH is going to a Christmas party one of his car-shop-owning friends is having. It's in Rockville Centre and he wasn't planning on driving home anyhow. So I am alone as well tonight. At least this time the dog will be with me! (A puking one, though - how fun.)

are you far from home? hopefully the main roads and highways are being cleared. And where are the salt trucks, the roads by me havent been cleared at all.

You know some ppl say things about trucks but if i still had my f*in truck i would be able to leave. My crowns came in today so wouldve been nice if i could eat like a normal person but that aint happening now lol

But I hear you on the commute, I do. I happen to work in Huntington village, I'm a lucky slutt. But when I worked in Carle Place, the commute was nasty with snow.

Can you leave at lunch??

It's not sticking at all in Huntington, Danielle. Not yet. So if you can leave early you might get away with just a scratch, so to speak

Dh si at waldbaums shopping for our xmas party stuff for tomorrow and he couldnt get a kart. He said its chaos in there. people are buying shiz like they will be snowed in for a week. And all i could think about was this thread. LOL. btw- I hate sending DH to the store. he calls me every 5 seconds with questions!!!

one of my bosses said i should leave early today. he actually told em to leave an hour ago. But I dont think it is neccessary. ANd I work for 4 other people. LOL. So I cant just up and leave yet...

HAHA mine would do the same thing.

I was going grocery shopping tomorrow - with the 'STORM' coming on Sunday, maybe I should go super early in the AM.

Damn. There goes my relaxing Saturday morning.

Maybe tonight would be better?? At like 8?? When 'the storm' has everyone scared of driving?

I'm working from home today but i went to the post office ( in massapequa) and i must say, the roads are really slick! The side streets are the worst. My car just slid back into my driveway sideways- lots of fun.
