How many of you are TRULY happy at your job?

Cindy....so sorry about how you are feeling!!! I think I remember reading a study that thre #1 reason people leave their jobs is because of their boss! It is terrible I know. I myself have quit 2 jobs due to bosses - one of them they knew it was bc of the a-hole boss and they really tried to get me to stay but the pay was crap so I left.

Anyway is there anyone else there you can speak to? I am going to say that it doesn't hurt to look around a bit....always keep your options open.

And to answer your question - I do like my job a lot, the people, my boss, the hours and everything else. It is not challenging and that sux but the $$ is good and I like it much better than any of my other jobs. I wouldn't leave unless something huge came along.

Thanks Jenna. Yes, it's been really tough. I always get along with everyone. In fact, i called my old boss today and he was just shocked at how upset I was. Unfortunately, the old boss I love left to work at another magazine that is not doing very well so I'm not going to jump from this gig to work with him. I wish he worked somewhere stable

I spoke to two recruiters today. One has me on her radar and already sent me over two job descriptions but they weren't exactly what I was looking for but I'm glad she is sending me things! The other recruiter unfortunately didn't have any opportunities but she will be thinking of me!

I'm sending out all my feelers to my friends in the biz and hopefully something comes to fruition but sadly, things are TOUGH out there. I just have to hang tough, keep my head down and just keep doing what I'm doing....

I started my new career a few weeks ago (passed my RN boards 6 weeks before the wedding and didnt start at the hospital until after the wedding) so far so good, def great pay increase, it is what I have been studying for for the last 3.5 years AND I am on the maternity unit! Hopefully seeing all of those little babies every week will keep the itch subsided for a while

Love my Job

I have a great job! I do love it..I love the girlsI work with, the hours I work, the money I make and the flexibility! Im a waitress, its not rewarding...its not even respected...BUT I do love it! Im in no rush to finish school...since im so happy there.
