see thats so awesome. we were at a park on vacation and this woman was taking her maternity pictures and he had to leave the area bc he is so grossed out by bellies - blah blah blah people say its different when its your wife etc. BUT he has an uncle that when women in the family are pregnant he actually has to avoid them bc he gets so disgusted. . .

i am not sayin its right but how can you control what you are attracted to/ turns you off?

I love that board because its finally a board I can relate to on the site and was so ticked when i saw those parents start beef. The poster was expressing her concern about becoming pregnant and she got flamed.

yeah. i've always felt a little like an 'outsider' on LIF b/c most of the posters have kids or are TTC and im not..... which is fine, but i just feel like i dont 100% belong, KWIM?

OMG same here!! He looooooves pregnant bellies. Thinks its so sexy. He says he loves the arch in the lower back and how glowy a woman looks. I was so happy when he told me this.

same here - DH always says he thinks im going to be so hot pregnant last month i went to a baby shower and when i got home i was teasing him by putting a rolled up shirt under my shirt and i was rubbing it like it was a baby bump and he was like omg stop you are torturing me! i thought it was cute - part of me wants to be preggo (not actually HAVE a baby, just have the bump ) just b/c i know my DH is going to love it......

the left over skin and fat AFTER the baby - i don't think either one of us is going to love that

I think pregnant bellies are the cutest thing in the world too. Sometimes I put things under my shirt too just to see (Not that I want kids at all any time soon) but I like the way it looks and DH too. Im mostly excited about hopefully growing boobs bigger than a 32A. Even if they dont stay big it will be nice to know what it feels like to have a bigger chest for once in my life.

I cry when I look in the mirror after gaining ten pounds I can't even imagine what I will do after labor and delivery but I guess I am not allowed to feel that way since it is offensive to women who have already had kids.

I'm like this too. I have put on about 10 pounds maybe since the wedding (I blame the BC I was on. lol) and it kills me!! I look in the mirror and am disgusted, even though I am definitely not overweight according to my height and all that. But still - I'm NOT okay with it. So i do get nervous about pregnancy. Not so much of gaining WHILE pregnant, but the after affect. Like how fat will I be and will i ever be able to get back to my old size?? And if I can't, how am I going to deal with that? I used to be VERY overweight as a teenager and I have a fear of going back there, kwim? Not that this would stop me from ever having children, but it's still a concern.

And as for my husband looking at me differently, I just don't see that at all for my DH. He just has so much respect for women who give birth and I know that he'll have even MORE respect for me after witnessing what I am able to do. (He even talks about it now, how he feels afraid for me because he hates seeing me EVER in pain). So I don't think that he'll ever look at me in a negative way. It's just the kind of guy that he is.
BUT - I still completely understand a woman being worried about this. Not all of our concerns are the same. And i feel like we should respect each other. We can give our own experiences to somebody that's afraid, but to put a person DOWN because of how they feel about themselves??? I don't know about that. Hearing that this happened on LIF makes me kind of sad.

I am a little peeved by what some of them wrote... just cause i had a baby didnt make me lose my identity, and im far from fat, i lost all my preggo weight by my 6 week check up, and thankfully have no stretch marks lol... also my husband witnessed the birth of our son and he does see me differently but a good different, he was so proud of me. Maybe im lucky and im thankful for that, but i guess thats why i dont get why people talk cr ap when they dont know first hand.

but i do get, its there personal space and they can say what they feel.

It might have peeved me a little if I were on the other side. But I think they are legitimate fears of women who are afraid of pregnancy and they shouldnt be afraid to say it.
