im just curious...

a post on lif had a woman upset or offended by a email from a friend cause her grammer was off and she didnt use puncuation...

i know i type fast and always mess up words and stuff and never thought twice about it

does this stuff upset u guys too

Guys ... guys ... I am wearing undies today. I might have staged a protest yesterday but I did show up to work fully dressed.

no that's ridiculous - professional emails I think it's careless but I am still no offended - it's not offensive just not professional - but personal emails, that's ridiculous. . I use ....... just like . . hhmmmm I'm thinking . or add a pause for better emphasis - I KNOW it's not right but who gives a FLIP . . people need to get hobbies

or it's probably one of those girls who didn't have sex on their wedding night so now her marriage is ruined and she's just miserable

It wouldn't bother me.

BUT... I have this one friend on facebook that really has NO CLUE how to spell anything!

I spend a good 5 minutes looking at his status trying to figure out what the heck he is trying to say.
And THAT annoys the crapppp out of me.

Ok, I'll admit it...I do get bothered by spelling and grammatical errors but I would never call someone out on it. I by no means always use perfect grammar but I do spell check myself a lot. I think my biggest grammatical pet peeve is the improper use of THERE, THEIR and THEY'RE.

Sorry if I offended anyone....I just wanted to be honest.

OMG! No!!!! Sometimes we get caught up in venting or anger and need to express ourselves that we may leave off some words! No need to get offended!

yeah, right. puh-lease !!

not to say that that type of thing on a professional level doesn't bug me. but i'd NEVER be like 'uhh, friend? you're dumb and cannot spell... please make an effort next time!' so mean!! :o) ps- everyone's entitled to pet peeves, i'm NOT making fun of those people! hope i don't offend :o) i just spent my whole life being criticized by a very annoying aunt who corrected me CONSTANTLY!

my lame attempt at sarcasm but in truth, OMG no, i'm just glad i have friends, i'll take them, mistakes and all :o) i'm sure that critical person makes some big mistake and learns some life-lesson someday! sheesh! everyone makes mistakes! i probably made some in this post!

Not for nothing - wasnt homonyms covered by 3rd grade? I just think that society has become so lax & lazy in their letter writing that they dont even think about is this the correct form/usage of a word...

Overall - the spelling would not get my panties in a bunch, but I have received emails from students where I've corrected them & emailed them back...lol
