The Health Care Bill

I have mixed feelings about it, I'm not sure really where I stand. On my hand, I believe that all legal residents should have health coverage. Some benefits would also help seniors with prescriptions and no cap on lifetime payouts, which is great for people who have serious health conditions. But on the other hand, I know this means that my taxes increase and my health insurance premium will increase. Critics also say that you will pay more for health insurance and get less.

So I'm torn but thats my two cents.

So glad that you were brave enough to respond!!

I have to say Im happy about it because right now I dont have health insurance but on the other hand I'm not really clear on how this is going to personally help me!

While I think the current system is not perfect, I don't think this bill was the answer. I think it is telling that the vast majority of the American public was against this bill, but it was forced through anyway.

I am going to keep my mouth shut on this one not to start any drama. I think my facebook quotes sums up my feelings, 'Governments tend not to solve problems, only to rearrange them.'-RR Oh, but I am annoyed that b/c of all this DH had to work 5 hours OT last night, and will prob be stuck at work again today. So boo!

DH and I are both uninsured and we are both totally against this bill.

I've been trying to think of a diplomatic way to express my feelings, but this is all I've got:

I don't like it.

Though I don't 100% agree with this bill, I would much rather pay more and wait longer for a little bit longer for an appointment if it means more people have a change to see a doctor.

For me, I agree with it.

I really don't think people should use the emergency room as their primary physician. People do that and never pay the bills. It would save a lot of money and lower health care costs if they could go and see a regular doctor because they had health care.

For myself, my husband and I do not have health insurance at the moment, nor for the last year and half. This is due to the fact that it is so unaffordable. My husband is a sole proprietor and to cover us now is about 1k a month, which is absolutely insane.

I am not sure how I feel about it. I am not sure how this will affect me. I already have health insurance through my employer. I think it is great that more people will have insurance, but I am not sure at what cost.

I am honestly not informed enough to formulate an educated opinion. All I know is that I work for a major hospital and have incredible health insurance that I pay pennies for, so I know to have the same insurance I'll be paying a lot more than pennies for it.

All Im saying is that no-one should be forced to buy health Insurance and I definitely dont want the government having control over it! This is not going to save our financial problems at all! Obamacare makes me

This is the reason im so torn! Like I said right now I dont have medical insurance because Im a per diem sub and the school district i work for doesnt offer medical to per diem workers. We cant afford to put me on DH's policy for an extra $1200 a month (DH's boss pays for him). So I like the fact that now I might be able to get affordable benefits......but Im nervous because what if they arent that affordable!! We'd still be required to have them even if we cant afford it? This is all very confusing!

No way! I am too old to argue with people on an online forum! I can just go home and argue with DH if I feel like raising my blood pressure!

I'm sorry, I can't sit on this. This is really such an incredible blanket statement. Look, if we have differing opinions, I think that's great - that's America! I am more than open to a thoughtful and intelligent debate. But this blanket statement really reeks of someone who is not informed and is regurgitating ideas they heard on Fox News.

Like I said, I am not informed enough to formulate an educated opinion on this - so I didn't. I also didn't make a crazy blanket statement, either.
