Hey gals, So I decided to start this thread just so we can help each other out, or whatever. lol I am in the Garden room and my ceremony will be in the grassy knoll area. My theme color is pink, ivory and gold, im trying to go with a victorian style. The colors will be very muted.
Where will your Ceremony be? And the reception room? What is your theme?

I meet w/ them next weekend so I can tell you how it goes after that!!! :) I know a few girls on the 2012 thread said they didn't care for them too much - they aren't like the cheeky glam girls. I think they are mostly there to help you through the planning process..I think DOC might be extra, but I could totally be wrong!
They set me up with apps for their house vendors anything more than that is extra. I'm using cheeky glam .

Our Ceremony will be in my childhood church, we will have our reception in the Manor Room. The Theme is looking more like the Peacock colors, but also want a romantic feel, dim candle light, with some up-lighting.....
For starters!!!

For those using the Garden Room, how many people are you planning to have?? I originally had 100 in mind but now it may go up to 120. Is anyone else concerned with the size?

I am in the garden room, and i remembered they said that room fits up to 130 guest. Im not too worried, because i think i have the same amount of people.

We will probably have about 125 in the Garden Room. Not too worried because after dinner they will re-open the Library for us. When everyone is sitting down at dinner, I am not worried about the space, it's more when people are dancing/mingling that you have to worry about. We will have a decent-sized bar crowd, however, so I know many of the guests will be hanging out in the Library.

They just called me to go over my menu but I was asleep. I hope it's a tasting and not just me picking stuff. I'm definetly going to demand a tasting.

Hello Westbury Manor Brides!!!
1) My ceremoney will be at St. Nicholas church in Flushing, Queens. 2) My reception room is the Manor room. (Im thinking of adding chandeliers or something outside to give it a romantic feel) 3) My theme is Gold and Pink, pink flowers and im hoping to be able to get lots of peonies in the centerpieces.
A signature drink does not have to be in ur contract, I have already asked for that, but you do have to let them know what you would like them to make in advanced and if they are suppose to pass it around to people. Im gonna have a pink drink with gold sugar around the rim if I choose to decide to do a martini, but I dunno if i want such a strong drink :)

Who is using WM cakes??? i heard they dont taste good. Any suggestions on a good bakery with reasonable cost????
I forgot the bakery but i know they are in hickville and have gotten cake from there before and its good, You can go to the backery and custom order the cake to ur liking and if its more that what westbury payes for the cake then you just pay the difference.

Are you invited to their showcase on March 21st?? They are going to have cocktails and drinks if you would like to try out some of the food. If ur not invited make sure to call them, their invite says specifically its for only westbury brides by invite only and u can bring up to 4 people including the bride and groom.

Are they letting you hang stuff outside? Do you know where? Because I have the garden room which has a terrace but I thought that was really the only outside where people will be - unless you mean for cocktail hour which makes more sense I guess. I'm just curious as to what you can do.

I spoke to Ian today and he told me the next showcase is on February 27. I'm not aware of the one in March

Im not exactly sure if we can hang anything but for the cocktail hour outside I dont think they would give us a hard time, I will deff ask though, my moms mad that there are no chandeliers so I have to do something.
