It is definitely worth it. I think what lit a fire under my *** was I tried on wedding dresses for the first time this past weekend. I looked in the mirror and saw what I always feared 'fat bride'. I couldn't help but judge myself and not the dress cause I didn't love the way I looked so how could I love the way I looked in a dress. So after that I took that to motivate me to change that so the next time I try a dress on I am not going omg my arms are huge or my butt looks huge, this does not make me look thin. On top of self sabatoge we also have to hold ourselves accountable, only we can change ourselves. We can do this. I did Jillian Michaels 30 day shred level 1 yesterday. Made it through! I am little sore today but I am sure it will be worth it. Doing another session of couch 2 5k tonight. I am determined to actually make it through this program and Jillians. :)
I'm alternating 30 day shred and couch to 5k as well. And then I rest on weekends. One tip be careful on the pushups. I sprained my elbow a few weeks ago trying to do too much.
*high five* That is what I am going to do. I do want to do one day of yoga so I am thinking Saturdays will be my yoga days or if it is nice out hiking days. Sundays are my rest days.
Definitely give the Jillian Michaels workout a try I managed to get through it, I definitely feel it today but that's good. No pain no gain.
Where are you in couch to 5k? Tomorrow I finish week two. We can keep eachother motivated.
I just restarted week 1 for the 15th time the other day. I am doing the second session of week one tonight and will finish week 1 saturday. Nice! Go you! I have never made it past week 2. Keep going!

ladygoodman did you find it harder to do the couch 2 5k harder a day after 30 day shred cause you were already sore? My body is so sore today but I love it. No pain no lose! I am going to take it easy tonight instead of doing 30 day shred I am going to do a light zumba session or yoga. Tomorrow I finish week 1 of couch 2 5k.Soon2beMrsPy you can do it just think why you want it hold that focus for yourself. Also you might want to try and set small goals and work up to increasing them that way you don't get fustrated. Try http://shrinkingjeans.net/2013/02/six-pack-march-2013-edition/
I know we are half way through March but start at the begining and follow the workout calendar and set a small goal like I will do this week's daily exercises. When you hit your goal add one day of 20 mins of cardio to the week's daily exercises. Go from there. You can do this. Also I found a cute workout shirt I think I need to motivate myself. http://caretobeglam.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/409691_4025698319572_494114474_n.jpg.

Re: 2014 Brides 'Official Weight Loss & Keep It Off' Thread
So another week of 'Falling off the wagon'
I struggled again this week, We ate so bad due to eating out a lot during FH's grandfather wake/funeral. THen today my boss bought 3 different irish soda breads to 'taste' and now he just ordered lunch. I swear I have no willpower & cant say no. Plus this weekend is St Patricks day and corned beef is my absolute fave! I guess I'll be starting again monday. What the Eff why do I struggle so bad. I promised myself though I HAVE to get to the gym next week. No excuses. Im sick of week in and week out saying the same thing 'back on track monday' this time I HAVE to do it!

I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND! Believe me every day I feel like I am writing in this forum complaining about failing! This week, the same thing happened with me and FH. I have been so busy with work that we ordered dinner a couple of times and now St Patricks Day is Sunday and I am having FFIL and FBIL come over so it is going to be an eating day! FH have to get back on track Monday. We continually sabotage ourselves but time is running out! Monday is the exact 10 month mark to our wedding and I have to get my butt in gear. We know what we have to do but it is going to be time to execute come Monday. We are going to try and watch what we are eating today and tomorrow so we don't go overboard but Monday it is. I am with you!!!!! Monday diet & exercise plan in FULL EFFECT! We seriously can do this!

Thanks to a stomach bug, I am down 5lbs. Hopefully I can keep it off. Now that I can finally keep food down I'm sure the weight will come back on. Back to the treadmill on Monday!!

Bridejackson- I actually find it feels good to do any workout when I'm already sore. But couch to 5k is definitely a struggle for me since I haven't been a runner in about 10 years.

I did the falling off week in and week out and was letting myself fall off making exscused for it to be ok like it's someone's birthday ect. After trying on dresses and seeing myself the way I never wanted to look in a wedding dress lit a fire under my *** to really focus. So now if there is someone's birthday I either don't have the cake or I watch what I eat all day long to allow a small piece. I love myfitnesspal.com for that. I plan the day ahead. I also try and bulk cook for the week one day a week just make 3 or 4 dishes to have ready in the fridge so when I come home I can just heat and eat. It has helped a lot with running around meeting with vendor appt during the week. Give it a try if you csn it really helped me. Also If you eat out don't feel bad just if you feel like it might be one of those days plan accordingly. I had one of those days last thursday fh and I had a dj appt then had to meet up with his mom. We had no choice but to eat out or we would eat at midnight. So we went to panera cause after calculating things online they had the best options for me to eat something and stay with in my allowed calorie, carb, fat range for the day without going over. Btw the power house spinnach salad there is awesome. I loved it so much I started making them at home lol. I know it seems like a lot of work to bulk cook, plan ahead, and workout but the results will be way worth it. The hard work now will be worth not hating the way I look in my wedding pictures after that is how I am fueling the fire.

Well I was good ALL week, and I have a gain. I guess oh well. That probably my biggest downfall, just giving up after not succeeding - but you have to see the big picture!I'm also going to use dress shopping to my advantage, hopefully this will happen around June :)

I've been known to give up and a day with the mantra that 'tomorrow is a new day'. As much as those are good words to live by, they encourage the self-sabotage!! I'm trying to get into the habit of forging any bad eating habits as they come, but starting over right away. I don't want to give myself the rest of the day off! I wish loosing weight was as easy as gaining :/

Weight loss is truly difficult. FH & I went food shopping over the weekend and there is nothing unhealthy in the house so once we get through tomorrow it is back on track for us. NO EXCUSES. I always have one but I have exactly 10 months from Monday to get in shape and AM determined! We can do this ladies!

I guess it's about time I join this thread. My FH and I will be starting a hard core workout so that we can look great for the wedding. I have tried to work out in the past but always gave up a couple of weeks into it because I was just not motivated enough. But now, I have some motivation! I have about 1 year until the wedding to lose a few pounds and get toned. Hopefully, I can fight off the junk food cravings that I get almost every day!

Hi ladies! My name is Claire and I am so happy to have found this thread! I would love to lose 15-20 lbs prior to my wedding. Once I get on track it's relatively easy to keep up with it, but it is really difficult to get back into groove after slipping up. I'm looking forward to tracking my progress with everyone!

I'm starting a regular gym schedule tomorrow after work!! I'm excited to finally attempt to lose some weight. At a little over 14 months out, I have just enough time to lose the weight I want at a healthy pace.

Ok Ladies. I am officially back on! I feel like I woke up motivated :) I made a nice healthy breakfast. This is it!! My goal is a pound a week. But i'll be happy even with a half a pound loss each week. I plan on getting my a$$ to the gym this week too. I hate exercising so that is my real struggle.
