I 'cheat' on the day I weigh in on...I eat whatever I want to the point of being full. But to counteract it I 'throw out' my weekly extra points, so I'm limited to my daily points only for the rest of the week. It's better tho for me to cheat one day then try to give myself a little each week....I wouldn't likely be able to stop after only a little and end up over indulging lol
That's a great idea! I like the logic

MrsPy you just got to find the thing that works for you. Maybe weight watchers and counting calories isn't for you. Maybe try exploring other options or meal plans. I have done sparkpeople.com it is free they give you a meal plan to stick to for healthy weight loss and if you don't like something they provide they give you options for swapping out. Maybe even something where you don't have to think of stress about what you can or can not eat might work better for you since you seem to break diet plans after a few days. Is it cause your not liking the food you eat on those days? I find it easier to stick to healthy eating when I am eating things I love and are tasty. It doesn't feel like a diet I don't call my eating plan a diet it's just my eating lifestyle. I don't always measure out every little thing I eat but from common sense and reading I know what portion sizes are and I do try to stay within them. It will click when you find something that you find comfortable. Maybe the 'diet' term is making things feel too off limits for you and causing the trail offs. Try something small like finding healthy meal that you like and enjoy then slowly add other things in until you find a path that works for you. Don't give up you wil get there sometimes we have to do trial and error. Believe me I had to as well, in the process I learned a lot about my eating habits and some things that were sabotaging me in the process when I did my trial and error.Luckyerialc that is what motivated me to workout and still am cause the image of me in the dresses not liking the way I looked makes me want to do push up and crunches automatically lol.

Re: 2014 Brides 'Official Weight Loss & Keep It Off' Thread
@Bridejackson22 If I see something, I want it. I am not necessarily hungry for it so it is all mental. The term 'diet' is also a mental trick in itself. FH & I are looking for a lifestyle change. We both LOVE food and don't always make healthy choices and when we have children we do not want to pass down these habits so we want to lose now. Out of all the times I start and stop, had I just stuck with it, I would have lost the weight! The sick part is, the meals I cook and the food we buy is all healthy, it is our 'let's just order' 'let's just go out' habit we HAVE to break. I need to tough it out, get the weight off and I will be SO much happier. Happiness and a better, healthier lifestyle will be worth the pain in the immediate.Today is a new day and a new start for FH's lifestyle change. Hoping and praying our commitment will last this time.

So I'm curious how much weight everyone here is looking to lose prior to the big day! I currently weigh around 150 lbs (height is 5'8/5'9'). I would LOVE to lose around 15-20 to get down to 130 but I'm not sure if this is a feasible goal. How about you ladies?

100% with you ladies on this!!! It's so tough - I expect instant results and don't understand why the scale doesn't change after a week. Then I get frustrate and give up and fall back into my old, bad eating habits. I think just being aware that we do that is the 1st step. We gotta catch ourselves and just stick with it!
Btw - drinking a lot of water is a great way to get off a couple of extra pounds. Just be careful you don't drink a crazy amount per day. I used to drink around 80oz a day (luckily I love water) and it helped me drop 2-3 pounds that just weren't coming off. I need to start doing that again.

I hope to lose another 15 pounds. I don't want to dip below 130. For reference, I'm 5'7 and the lowest I've ever been was 113, I looked starving, it was awful. The highest I've ever been was this past December, I was 163, which was also when I bought my dress. I want to make my seamstress earn that money, hahha.
Progress:
12/12: 163lb
04/13: 148lb
05/13: 144lb

For my C25K ladies, what are your intervals on a treadmill? I walk at 3.5 and jog at 6.0, but I'm only in week 2. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to keep that jogging pace up when the intervals get longer. Is there such a thing as jogging too slow?

I love morning runs! I feel like they put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. Lately I've been conveniently falling asleep before setting my alarm early though.

Hhahaha me too...Sheesh ok ok, I need to loose at least 30lbs to meet my 'goal' which is 175, that's the last weight I was at that I felt comfortable, and looking back at pics, I looked good. Mind you I'm short, so I am for sure over weight, and losing anything helps me towards being very healthy, but on a short term goal, I'm trying to just be under 200lbs. Just seeing my weight starting with 19_ will make me feel great! lol
Starting Weight: 225lbs
2/14/13 221 lbs
2/28/13 217 lbs
3/20/13 210 lbs
5/6/13 205 lbs
So now I am 20 lbs down! 6 more to be under 200! And 30 more to reach my 'goal' I use quotes around goal because according to healthy weight guidelines I need to lose a lot more than that lol but I would be ecstatic with 175 and that's what I'd like to be for the Wedding..Hopefully I can lose about half that between now and ordering a dress, so I can order a realistic size and not have to stop losing weight or take it in a lot.

I fluctuate from 197-200 weekly. I was about 178-180 when I met FH and was IN LOVE with how I felt and looked. I am 5'5 so it is still overweight but I carry my weight pretty well so 180 for me looks like I am 150. I am very comfortable at 180 and if I lose beyond that, great but my goal is 180. So I need 20 pounds. Hopefully I can accomplish this soon because I am so sick and tired of obsessing about my weight. Grr.Welcome New Vendors
