Day 1 back to Weight Watchers and we hit the gym!! Feeling good. I have a question though. FH and I do NOT ever exercise. This is our first time and although we did it we don't want to get bored and over it. FH suggests we go MWF to the gym so we won't get tired of it. I suggested if we go MWF that maybe on T, TH we do something small but active such as Wii Sports or even purchase an active/fun Wii game. Do you think that this is a good plan or should we go to the gym 5 days a week?
I think you're okay doing MWF for now. Once you get into the routine you might actually WANT to go to the gym! It gets addicting! If you force yourself, you'll wind up hating it.

So disappointed. Only down .2 I tried very hard this week that this loss doesn't make sense to me. I am starting back at the gym tomorrow since I am off. Hopefully adding exercise this week will make a big difference for next weeks weigh in!
I admire your commitment. Staying committed is my BIGGEST problem as I love food! .2 is a loss. I can understand your frustration but my mom always says it is better to lose something, anything then gain (which is true) and knowing that your body is in that rhythm of losing even if it is a little bit. Keep up the good work, you will get to your goal!

Hi ladies. I haven't jumped in on this yet, but I have to say that I love all of the positivity and support!I always struggled with my weight. I was always chubby/overweight since I can remember. In college I reached my heaviest weight. Dorming + bad breakup...we all know what happens! I was lucky enough to have a friend who was really into fitness and walking. I went to school in an area full of hills/mountains, so I started walking everywhere. That plus changing my eating habits eventually resulted in me losing 30 lbs!
I moved back home after college, joined a gym, and lost another 5, putting me at my lowest weight ever! I should mention that it took me a long time (4 or 5 months to lose these last 5) It was so reinforcing to see the numbers on the scale going down! Unfortunately, I had to cancel my gym membership because of $$. Since then, plus the holidays and now the snow storm, I'm up 5. I know that's not terrible, but it's so disappointing because it took me so long to get the weight off PLUS i had a gym membership that I don't have now.
I'm trying to watch what I eat. I used to LOVE zumba at the gym, but since I don't go anymore, I bought zumba for my wii. It's fun, but it's definitely not the same. Better than nothing! I only used them once though because my schedule is a little crazy between my classes and externship. I think I might start waking up earlier on the weekends to get some exercise in. In all about priorities. Stay positive ladies!! We'll get there!

Loved reading your story! I am into it and then so quickly break my diet :( I am in dire need of losing at a MINIMUM of 30 pounds and would ideally like to lose 50 before my wedding. It just seems impossible and quickly breaks my desire to do it because I don't see the results quick enough... SOOO stressed about it which in turn sends me to food!

It took me about 6 months of straight up dedication to lose 30 lbs. I've since but on 6 lbs over my WW life time goal. I'd really like to lose 10lbs and tone up before the wedding. I know it sounds easy to most people when I say it but you ladies know how hard it is to lose, especially towards the end! Lets stick with it and support each other. We all need it!!

I run into the same problem. Aside from my love of anything and everything that's a carb, I can NEVER stick with toning! It's so much work for results that don't come fast enough. I know it takes time and you gotta stick with it, but it's so hard when you don't get a little bit of immediate gratification!

The secret is following the program and going to meeting. You can't really follow the program unless you were to join. It is honestly worth it and works if you follow it correctly and stick to it. It isn't a rapid weight loss diet more of a lifestyle change. You lose 1-2 lbs per week. Me however I tend to only loose a half of a lb to a lb each week. That's just how mybody is. This isn't a WW thread so if you just want to diet and join us struggling ladies all are welcome lol

Sounds like some of usbhad a rough week. Its okay cause its not a set back just fuel for motivationto try harder. I didn't lose this week but didn't gain. I'm okay with that. I also know I didn't work out and I did eat a bit more too. It does takeva long time my goal is to lose 50lbs I've been committed for 4 months and lost 12lbs so far. Still have a long way to go but permanent weight loss takes a long time.

I gained back all of the weight I lost and really need to get my *** in gear. I am realllllllllllllllyyyyy getting fed up with myself :(

Hi everyone! A little late joining this board, but I've been meaning to for a while. Just didn't want to set myself up for failure when I knew I wasn't ready to be serious about it. My name is Brittany and I'm 26 years old. I seriously just think I lack all self-control. Up until I was 18, I was 5'9 and 120 lbs. I played a ton of sports, and swam at least 6 miles a week. I always ate and drank whatever I wanted without thinking twice. Once I went away to college, I stopped doing all physical activities and took on drinking and eating whatever I wanted at 4AM without thinking about the consequence. Needless to say, I gained 20+ pounds and since then my weight has fluctuated.I go through periods of working out like crazy for months, going to the gym 4x a week at 5am to doing absolutely NOTHING for months, and it completely counter-acts all my hard work. I've been doing Insanity every other night for the past two weeks and I'm down 7lbs! I don't do it every day because it literally is INSANE and I wouldn't be able to walk up and down the stairs of my building if I did lol. But so far so good! I'd ideally like to lose 30 pounds, but more importantly I'd like to keep the weight off!!I've already started looking for new DVDs because I can tell I'll be sick of this one soon! haha
Thanks for listening

Mrspy what I do is I plan out things ahead it really helps me stay on track. Do you follow any particular plans? I also use myfitnesspal.com to track my colors. Like this week since I know I am going out for dinner I won't go too overboard at dinner but also go very light this week. Like eat under my calories each day and watch very carefully what I eat the day of when I plan to indulge a little. It helps.Don't feel bad MrsMango I was snowed in all weekend and yesterday had time to actually worked out but my but stay under blankets watching movies and hgtv lol. I even watched the biggest losers last night to motivate me to work out. I really do have to get back at it this week. I found what works is I have a dress, a pair of jeans, and a bathing suit I want to look good in again. Goal weight motivation clothes I leave them hanging out so that I guilt myself into working out.

3 1/2 weeks into using the myfitnesspal app and I'm down 4lbs! Nothing crazy, but I'm proud of myself! I only ate more than my calorie goal once and it was Super Bowl Sunday so I have myself a pass LOL. I'm so excited, if I stay on track I'll feel good in a bathing suit when we go away this April!
