I found what works is I have a dress, a pair of jeans, and a bathing suit I want to look good in again. Goal weight motivation clothes I leave them hanging out so that I guilt myself into working out.
Yes!! That bathing suit is a killer!!
It is a killer! I try it on every so often just for the extra motivation if I really been lacking in the exercise department. It really does work.
Alyssa that is great! I love myfitnesspal. I have been using it for 4 months and I have lost 14lbs so far. The holidays were a little rough I did the tug of war with lose gains. It really does keep you in check. I love it.

When Fh and I first met I had just started losing weight after getting sick of looking at the number on the scale. I managed to drop 50 pounds by eating better and mostly waking. I loved the way I looked and felt. However people around me had an issue with me being happy for myself and after some arguments I lost all motivation and pretty much gained all the weight back. After looking at pictures of myself last night I got disgusted and decided today is the day I get back on track. I will lose the weight again and this time I will keep it off haters or not. Gonna start working out again today. That's the key for me. If I don't work out I gain weight looking at food lol.

Why don't you try something that focuseson toning like yoga or Pilates? This way the focus won't be on going weight but on your body looking it's best.

Ladygoodman I hear ya if I think of food I seem to gain weight. For me I have to eat clean, stay under a certain amount of calories to lose weight. My body responds decently to working out...less jiggly. Flynn I would just try walking, or yoga or dance just for fun.

I weighed myself this morning and was 1lb over the max weight I wanted to hit after all of the holidays were over. I came on this board to get inspired to kick my butt into high gear! I'm going to start eating right and being more active starting today!

Normally I very positive when it comes to losing this weight but I am feeling a bit down today. My friend who started the weight loss journey with me who had more to lose has now passed me in weight loss. Being the fact I used to be really skinny I still have a hard time dealing with this weight gain. It's probably been the hardest thing for my self confidence going from one of the skinniest in my social group to the biggest. She was the only other girl bigger than me so now I am the biggest. :( just feeling like I failed when I know I haven't cause I haven't given up. Just I guess fustrated I am not there with her or have lost more weight than I should have.I feel like when I get home I need to stay on the treadmill till it's bedtime and do that everyday until the wedding lol.

Just have confidence! Even if progress is slow, there will be progress if you make little changes at a time. Don't give up but don't go crazy either, you can do it!

**VENT**I need to win the battle of mind over matter. This is MY biggest struggle with weight loss. I always sabotage myself and it is because I let my mind control my decisions. UGH! My wedding is in January but I have my cousins wedding in October, her Bachelorette is in June and I really, really need to lose weight. I am so unhappy with my body and get into dieting and it never fails my mind gets in the way.. ugh. Depressed about it!

I feel ya MrsPy. After feeling down yesterday. I use myfitnesspal to track what I eat so I know what I have been doing. I was like no this cycle needs to stop. I used being down and my friend passing me in weight loss as more motivation. I also made sure I told my FH to push me to stop letting me fall off I think I need that 'Jillian Michaels' kind of person there to yell at me when I want to eat something bad or not work out. I stayed in my calorie range yesterday and I worked out. Just got to stick with it, don't let yourself become defeated. Get your FH on board to push you to keep you on track. I also started posting up pics around last night to help motivate me. I put a picture of me at my biggest, the wedding dress I want, and an old picture of me when I was skinny. I wanted to run on that treadmill last night till I looked like the old me lol.

Haha! I hear ya. FH is on board as he wants to lose weight. I have to just have my mind STOP, if I get something in my head that looks yummy and I want, I break my diet and eat it. We want a lifestyle change not a 'diet'. We are doing WW because that helps teach us about food and portions, etc. Our house has nothing but healthy stuff in it but we order dinner and then ruins our whole day! I have to just stop succumbing to the pressure of my mind and remember how gross I feel AFTER I eat!

Weighed in today and I'm still at goal! For those that are getting discouraged just stick with it. If you mess up on one meal, don't let that mess up the rest of your meals for the day - or week! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
