I did my 'official' January weigh-in this morning- Down 2.6 lbs. Overall very happy with the results this month. If I can keep up this monthly weight loss until the wedding I will be SO happy! I fell off the gym wagon the last two weeks but thank God I didn't fall off the wagon when it came to eating too. I had quite a routine going & then FH's grandfather was put in hospice & ultimately passed away on Martin Luther King Day. It takes a lot for me to get into a gym routine and of course once I broke it- 5 days off turned into 12 days. So Back to the gym I go tonight determined to get my routine going again.

How was your month ladies?

ETA: I am so glad this sunday is my last 'football sunday' my family & I get together every sunday and watch football allllll day & eat bad! Last one coming up until next year! thank god. Once i'm married I can get fat right?!

I feel the same way. I've been eating clean the last two weeks, but I've given myself permission to cheat a little on Sunday. And starting Monday, I'm getting into a work out routine too. I was going to wait until tomorrow to weigh in, but I couldn't help myself this morning! lol! I'm down 17lbs total!!! I don't want to cheat too too bad because I want to be able to say I lost 20lbs!!

And good job staying on track with so many distractions (sorry to hear about FH's grandpa)! It's so hard sometimes!

That is amazing!!!! Congrats. Definitely healthy clean superbowl snacks you can have. I pinned on pinterest some like the buffalo cauliflower, clean buffalo chicken (which is just chicken breast baked in hotsauces.) Clean nachos I found on pinterest. keep it up girl you're doing amazing.

That sounds good! What's your Pinterest name? so you know, I can't stalk you and stuff... lol!

kris5885 is my pinterest name. Don't be fooled I have a lot of junk food stuff pinned on there too....yeah know for after I am married and can get fat lol. I do have a lot of healthy things pinned and recipes, exercises, and such. I have a mild pinterest addiction lol.

Alright so since I've been lifting and doing spin so much to the point where my legs and arms are like extremely muscular (for a girl that is haha, I don't look like a body builder or anything lol), I've been gaining a pound or two when i check the scale. I did read online that doing spin in the beginning makes you lose, but then you start toning so much that you actually gain, and it was recommended to take your measurements for progress rather than checking the scale.

So I found this site: http://home.fuse.net/clymer/bmi/

So my weight: 136
Height: 5'6
Waist: 28

I'm going to measure my waist every week and see if there's any changes :) It is cool to see the BMI, body fat % and everything on this site too though!

So I kinda cheated - I weigh-in on Mondays. But with Today being superbowl Sunday, I figured I would weigh in today instead. Well down 3.1lbs - very cool.

So what are you ladies doing today to stay on track?

Hi ladies! I fell off the bandwagon with this awhile ago...it was so good catching up and seeing the progress you're all making!

I could really use some suggestions. I was in a really good workout routine last summer. I did c25K and continued after the program ended into the fall. Around November, I herniated 2 discs in my back. One is pinching a nerve. Then the holidays came and all the bad food and now I can't exercise like I used to to get the weight off b/c my back is messed up! I got measured for my dress back when I was running and exercising and I *just* fit the size they ordered. My dress is coming in this month and I'm freaking out b/c I know I'm at least 5lbs heavier than when it was ordered and it just fit then! Any suggestions on diet/low impact exercises?

I know a lot of us on here have had a lot of success with weight watchers. As long as I stick to it even when I'm not working out I loose weight.

I think WW is a good area for diet - or MFP or Sparkpeople (both which is free).

As for a workout - I would totally ask your dr. He/she should be able to give you ideas about that.

swimming! such a good workout- I used to be a swimmer and it tones everything. I occasionally go back to the indoor pool I used to work at and swim a mile which burns ALOT. 36 is a 1/2 mile and can definitely be done if you're not a good swimmer. Do it in sets of 8-10 and use a kickboard for a couple of laps to work out your legs as well :)

Just weighed this morning and I've lost a total of 2.6 lbs this week! Bringing my total weight loss to 21lbs since I started weight watchers in November. My ultimate goal was always 30lbs before the wedding. Next step - getting to 25lbs lost!

2014 Brides

alright so about 2-3 weeks ago I wrote on here that I went down to 134, which is 9 lbs from my goal weight (125)... Then, for the last 2 weeks by weight was 137 so I started taking measurements instead. Welll, today I weighed myself again and I'm 133 :)

The scale was moved into a different room a few weeks ago because my mom was weighing herself, and I didn't realize that if you move the scale that your weight will read way differently. So I moved it back into its original place and I feel alot better now haha..

Now I am at 18.3% body fat which makes me soso happy- I've been doing alot of planks and ab exercises and I'm starting to actually see my abs again!

I also lost 1 inch off my waist :)

Weight: 133
Waist: 27 inches :)
BMI: 21.6

We're seriously on the same track! I started Nov 5th and I'm down exactly 21 lbs too!! My goal is to be down 40 by may/june (whenever my 1st fitting is) but I would be happy with 30lbs (since that's what i told kleinfeld i was gonna lose). Let's get to 25 together! I'm hoping to meet that goal by march 1st. So motivated!!

I can relate I had back surgery about 10 years ago so it took me a long time to recover. When I was recovering and got the green light from my doctor that working out can be added in gradually he told me things like stationary seated bike and swimming were my best bet to start since they are low impact exercises. They also showed me certain stretches to do to help strengthen my back. I have come a long way recover wise to working out more normal like weights and running but I still have issues with my back time to time. I would recommend getting your doctors opinion before starting something but definitely do low impact exercises.
