Great thread...I am having unsheathed legs -- being that it will be AUGUST and all...!! One less thing to worry about, but now I wonder if my shoes will hurt. Ah, that's why I got the pink chinese slippers!!

Re: A thread just for PlusSize Brides

I bought typical satin bridal shoes from Sandy's in Massapequa. They were only $40 and they are like a sandal with an ankle strap for support and a 1.5 inch heal. I also bought white platform like sandals (these have about a 1.75 inch heal) from Payless for $12. If my other shoes get uncomfortable I'm switching to the payless ones. I wanted to get something flatter that would be more comfortable, but my cousin did that and ended up not being able to wear them because the difference in heal made her dress too long and she was tripping on her hem.

Amy where is that place?
FI is only about 1' taller than I am -- on a good day -- so I'd like something flatter than what I have -- although I love my shoes to death!! Ah I guess I can slouch all day???

Kara-

Sandy's is on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa, just East of Park Boulevard. It's in the shopping center next to the IHOP across from the train station.

yup had to pay extra tooo 240 for plus size -

You paid $240 extra for plus size? I'm afraid to ask how much your gown was total. Where did you get it?

i am having it made for me - the extra 240 was the actual cost of the extra deerskin -
do you really want to know what it cost?
it was just over 3,000. i really fought with myself about getting it cause i just freaked about the price so i ordered something else that ended up looking like a marshmallow puff and adding about 100 lbs to me - mind you i am far from small but geesh ---
so i went with it

I wouldn't think there would be a problem if you wear it below the knee....who will know?

Re: A thread just for PlusSize Brides

My aunt bought me one when I got engaged, and I wore it fits slightly above the knee. Like you guys said, no one will see it.

Amy, your dress is so romantic. Are you doing a whole theme too?

Hmmm I don't think I will wear a garter.
Well this weekend I finalized with my vineyard, adn the florist -- checked out the B&B we are staying at for our wedding night - went by the house we are renting....did some farm stand shopping -- lunch at Claudios -- it was great, exciting, and makes me want August 29 to be here NOW!!
Ah also booked a winery group tour for the ones who arrive a day early...
34 days OMG..

Nice call Christine!

What's on everyone's agendas this week for wedding planning?

I'm having my girls over on Thursday night to start putting our favors together. And hopefully FH and I will get to a tux place this weekend.
