OK I have heard some brides get REALLY depressed when the Wedding is over, the planning is done, etc... I personally can not wait!!!
Don't get me wrong, I loved this entire process, stress or no stress it was exciting and I know it will all be worth it when I see it all come together, but I am just so done with the 'Bride Brain'
How many of you think you are going to be down in the dumps?

Re: AFTER WEDDING DEPRESSION???
I am not down in the dumps, I just feel like everyone else is still having fun planning, and I have nothing to run around and do anymore. It is definitely a BIG change. I was just telling DH last night that I felt like I had this urge to do something for the wedding, however, there is absolutely nothing for me to do. It is nice to relax...just different.
Oh, and we actually have money that we can use for UN-wedding things.

I can't wait for it to be over now!!! I can't wait to have free time to relax, go to the gym, out to lunch, dinner, movies.. You realize the things you haven't been doing lately especially saving for a wedding!

Re: AFTER WEDDING DEPRESSION???
Aww a topic near and dear to my heart.
I kind of laughed at girls with PWD because, like you, I thought I would be like THANK GOD ALL OF THE HASSLE IS OVER!!
I gotta tell you though, I broke down on the treadmill my first day back at work because thats where I did most of my wedding 'daydreaming'. I wasnt sad because I missed the planning. I didnt even want to do the day over again....
Its more like you have all of this excitement and anticipation built up, then you have 2-3 weeks of non-stop perfect fun and then it comes crashing back to normal.
I was also PMSing when I returned home from the HM so that didnt help.
Youd be surprised how much you miss the anticipation!

Re: AFTER WEDDING DEPRESSION???
Eehh.. I think I'll be a little sad. As crazy as planning has been it has been a great distraction. I originally started the planning 9 months before we officially got engaged, while FH was in Iraq. It has helped me remain positive during some very scary and dark times. But as much as I love the planning, I can't wait to be his wife and I know he can't wait for me to relax. lol

I couldn't have said it better myself. I am so dunzo with the entire planning process! I was just talking with some other brides this weekend- I am done, put a fork in me. I have enjoyed the entire process and being engaged, but now I WANT TO BE MARRIED! And of course I picked the end of December

Re: AFTER WEDDING DEPRESSION???
i gotta admit....i have the ocasional bout of PWD!
i'm beyond happy that we are married and had the best wedding ever....BUT at the same time i sometimes wish i still had a wedding to look forward to!
i know a lot of ladies on here think 'no way! i'll be glad when its over and done with!' but that's cause you don't quite know how it feels yet to just be a BRIDE. that is the greatest feeling! you are soooooo happy and you feel like you and your FH are royalty that day. when it's over, and you know other brides are getting ready to have their big days....you just KNOW the feeling they are going to have, and you miss it and wish you could have it again!! so it will probably sneak up now and then for you all when your big days come and go!
but i wouldn't say i cry over it, or sit in my dress on the weekends with my veil and tiara rocking back and forth saying 'I AM a pretty princess....i AM a pretty princess!!!'
but at the same time, i'm glad i don't have to worry about the $$, guest list, stress, etc. whew! relieved THAT part is done and don't miss it.
