The second dress looks shinier and that the lace isn't as detailed. It may be the lighting/flash but the second dress looks flat in the details.

Its like the dress (your dress) is a shiny material and the sample isnt.

Its almost like they DID make the same dress, but with slightly different material.

Ask the bridal salon to pull the sample and put it up next to your dress. That will clear up the mystery!

It looks the same to me but the material looks different. The 2nd one almost looks shiny

i think they look diffeent... the top one looks like the overlay is a different design... idk thats what I think

Thats exactly what I think!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're going to think I'm insane because this is the same dress that I ordered, cancelled (when i saw a pic of it ONLINE LOOKING SHINY), went back and saw it again, reordered it because it wasn't shiny, and now it comes in and its shiny.

O WOW!! I didn't know all that!! You REALLY purposly didn't want a shiny dress huh? I'm soo sorry!!
When you cancelled the order... could they have given you a sample of the material???

It seems as though the designer for some reason sent the same dress to that store as a sample and used different material than the materials they use when producing the actual dress that brides buy. So strange.

You should REALLY let them know how unhappy you are though. I mean all things considered the dress should be true to the sample that you tried on.

Hi. Not sure if its the lighting but the material underneath the lace in the second dress looks shiny vs. the first dress.

The dress looks nice and seems to fit well though. Sorry you are not happy.

The underlay on the second dress looks different than the first dress. It looks like a different material.

I've seen them both in person, and I know you dont want to hear it but IMO they look exactly the same. I do agree that they dont look the same in the pictures, but I really think that thats because of the lighting, the mirrors and the flash. Like someone else pointed out, the sash looks much more sparkly in the 2nd pic, whereas the first one it looks dull (which its not) The lace, which is what a lot of ppl are pointing out, is exactly the same in person, but def looks a little diff in the pics. I see what you're talking about with the shininess, but i really think its a lighting/flash issue combined with it being a brand new dress since you didnt notice any differences in person till you compared the pictures.

Go back and look at them both together, in diff lighting, taking pics with/without flash etc. If none of that makes you see it any diff, we'll figure it out.

For some reason the first picture LOOKS better, but they do look like the same dress. Maybe something a little different about the top. Hmm....

Also, if you go back and compare the 2 and the underlay is very clearly a diff fabric (not just new vs old, like definitely different) they will HAVE to make it right with you cuz then its just simply not what you saw originally or what you wanted or what you thought you were getting when you ordered it. Right??

the dress you bought does look different but only because I cant see the bead work....a lot of times the samples are dirty so the colors are off and you can see more of the detail in it since the fabric is darker.....either way the bought dress looks stunning on you...why dont you take a look at the sample you tried on next to your dress?

Hmm...I do see what you mean. It does look like the second dress has a different underlay, and the lace doesn't pop as much, whereas the first one is was clearly a lace overlay, not lace sewn on to the dress itself. I'm so sorry you're going through this...I would definitely demand to see the sample and your actual dress side by side to verify your suspicions.

i hav to agree with the girls on 2 points...one u look gorgeous in both and i would strangle a stranger for ur body

but,imo they look ike 2 diff dresses..just like the girls said the lace and idk but even the belt/sash looks diff to me too

You look beautiful in both dresses but I think that they are different dresses. If you look closely, I think that the print on the actual lace is different and the beading work is different.

I would go the store and try and get this straightened out. You paid a lot of money for the dress of your dreams.

They are slightly different but it could be b/c the sample has been worn many times. The lace on your gown is crisper looking. The lighting is different in the tow photos but your gown looks much whiter.

Did you try the sample on again? They look similar to me-but I can see what you mean about #2 being more shiny. They should make it right. But I think you looked beautiful in both dresses. Keep us posted!
