yeah princess is a BM but not my MOH and they are all wearing diff styles in pink...her dress costs more then my dress+all my BM dresses+all the tuxs for the GM, just to give you an idea...

i dont think cost comes through in appearance. and if its all the same shade of pink then you can't fault her for wearing it - i chose the color and my bridal party chose their dresses and each girl looks absolutely gorgeous - and FSIL is a 16 year old blonde surfer that could knock any model out of the water but i love her she is such a wonderful girl and i am so happy she is in my bridal party and i love her dress she looks stunning!!

you will still be the bride and gorgeous!!

Re: Am I overeacting...

We are inviting an ex of my FH's that he had a torrid affair with after his separation.... It used to bother me that they were still friends (and would even sometimes kiss on the lips hello and goodbye until I put a stop to that!) But now I am over it - I know she looks at me and thinks - lucky biotch....

NO all the BM's are wearing a similar pink shade, but they get to choose the syle they want. they are all different ages and sizes and I didnt think just one style would complement all my gals, but yeah I guess I will let her wear her dress,

I was just a little jealous, of the 'ex', she is very pretty, and it took FI a long time to get over her breaking up with him..

You should FH tell his sister that she can't wear the dress. Try to stay out of it if you can. As for the old flame, that's also up to FH to say something to his friend. I just don't know what's wrong with people!!! There have there day, this one is yours!!!

Good luck,
Kelly

Oh she is in the bridal party!!!! Oh my god then no she can not wear a dress that cost more than your gown...she needs to fit into the style of the bridal party. offer to pay for a dress that you pick out...She can wear her dress some other time!!! If she was just a guest than thats one thing but she is going to be in all your pictures...Trust your gut!!!

what does FI say? I think theres more than enough time for the friend to find another date. if they are not seriously dating he should be understanding. I wouldnt like that at all and i'm sure FH isnt keen on the idea either! Keep us up to date and let us know how everything turns out - i still think FH should talk to his friend about bringing the ex. but even if she is pretty you will be the gorgeous bride that FH is marrying!!

I don't think you should worry about the dress thing but it is your day and the sweetheart should not be there- there shouldn't be anyone there that is going to make you uncomfortable!!!

Quite honestly I do not see why you are over reacting over her dress. She is entitled to wear whatever she wants. The day will be yours bottom line. I just can't see what is the big deal over someone's dress and the cost. JMO

To me, I think it is not right when the bridesmaids or MOG/MOB dresses are more fancy/expensive than the brides dress. I wore a couture gown, but would have been upset if my mom or MIL wore a more expensive dress. I think it is personal though. The person who in my mind should have the 'best dress' is the bride and for some best means price - it might not be right, but at the same time it is what it is.

I do understand your point but IMO I do not think it really matters if anyone dress is more expensive than the bride's dress because after all it will be her day and allthe attention will be on the bride. I would not be upset if someone's dress cost more than mine. If they can afford it so be it they can wear whatever suits them.

Your dress is stunning why are you so concerned with that girl's dress?

Her dress is beautiful also but you are the bride. I can't see why you are focusing on this girl's dress.

I agree with the other girls..don't worry about the dress YOU will be the center of attention but if it bothers you that much then I would say something...As for the ex I don't think she should be there but you will in another world that day and so long as no one makes a big deal over her being there than I don't think it will be a problem...if you are concerned, communicate with your FI to have her not come. It will all work out in the end!

Honey, who cares that his ex will be there, let her come and she'll see what an amazing bride you are and how much ur FI loves you..

as for the dress, that princess needs to cover up, this is a family affair, right?..

other then that, ur dress is amazing and classy and hers may be versace but its verhoochie

I wouldn't worry about the dress, people will probably look at her and think what the heck is she wearing. the 'friend' is another story. Personally , I would tell him I don't want her there. JMO, you shouldn't have anyone there that would make you feel uncomfortable.

#1 - princess can't wear her dress b/c it's not her effing day, it's yours. i'm sure we're all very sorry that she didn't get to wear her dress for her sweet 16, but tough crap. just ask her nicely not to wear it and to wear something not so flashy.

#2 - i'd be po'd too if my FH's ex was coming to our wedding. his friend has alot of nerve. are they at least dating? if not, theres no reason to bring that particular person to your wedding.
