ok ive been going crazy trying to decide what to do. I've emailed numerous invitation companies to see who can do the same invite and how long it would take. WEll i saw another invite I like alot and i emailed the person and they can expedite the order for me for $30 which is fine, and get it to me quickly. She said since i am so short on time she can email me the proof instead of waiting for her to mail it to me. Should i take this chance, i mean the invite looks gorgeous. Or should i go with the green ones i like and wait the 4 weeks. I know sounds like it should be easy but i keep second guessing myself. The new one i found is also a little over two dollars less than the green ones so i save money, another reason why it should be an easier decision but i have issues lately lol
Sometimes i need voice of reasoning hahaha
here is new invite i found, they are boxed invitations
I'll probably have to wait until the morning for answers, i just noticed what time it was lol
and here is the green invite that would take about 4 weeks

I love the first one, and you don't want to keep second guessing yourself - plus your saving $$$. I would go with you gut and get the first ones, and she will email you the proof which is even better. good luck with what you decide either one are stunning first one def. has the wow! factor HTH

Re: another invitation question
They are both gorgeous. Which one again, was less expensive.? The boxed invites?
I swear only us brides kill ourselves over these details, you guest will think either looks gorgeous & then move on in their minds.
I am the worse on invitations. i am designing my own & driving myself nuts in the process.
Either one though IS GORGEOUS.
You can splurge on this if you want or if you already have your splurge items go with the more economical, it certainly doesn't look less expensive, actually I would have thought the boxed ones would be pricier!

Re: another invitation question
I would not recommend ordering anything you haven't physically seen in person. If you can get a sample of the new invite (even without your wording on it), then it is totally fine to only see an emailed proof.
The major invitation manufacturers only send an emailed or faxed proof of an order before printing ... because as long as you've seen the physical sample in the album, its really only the wording/lettering/layout that's changing.
Before I went ahead and made my own invites, I ordered samples of ones that looked GORGEOUS online ... I was beyond disappointed with what I saw, and would have absolutely hated them if I had ordered them without seeing them in person first. And they were more than $20 each!!!!

Re: another invitation question
i know, the whole not seeing it in person part is the only thing that has me second guessing. I'll ask her if she can mail me a sample without our wording for it just any sample of that invite.
And yes the boxed one costs less than the pocket fold invite. I have gone a bit far with alot of things so yeah it would be good to finally save on something. Although with boxed invites the postage would be more lol but hopefully in the end i'll still save more
Thank you ladies

Yeah see if she can overnight you a sample (it is worth paying for that & not liking the invite)
Let me know what happens!

Re: another invitation question
Yeah, i just emailed her now and asked if its possible if she can mail me a sample, doesnt have to be our wording so basically dont need a proof of what my own invite would look like but a sample of any wording just same invite. Hopefully it will all work out
Thank you very much, yeah i'll update when i finally am done with this once i am done with this it will be a huge relief bc it will be the last big thing i have to take care, and the rest are the small details that i plan on starting now and hopefully by april be done with lol.

Re: another invitation question
I love the first ones (boxed) much more than the green ones personally.
Also, e-mailed proofs are fine. That's what the major invitation companies do.
Good luck with your decision -- invitations were the most stressful decision for me

Re: another invitation question
The first ones are gorgeous! Well they both are. If she is able to rush them to you I would go for it but I agree that you should just have a plain invite mailed. You may not like the materials. Also make sure that you find out what size the invite is. I got a sample and I didn't realize how small it was from the picture. Of course it can be made bigger but still. Good luck an let us know what you choose!

Re: another invitation question
They are both pretty. I ordered mine from just a proof online but I did see the paper that it was on. Maybe that is worth seeing if the paper is good quality. I just kept in my mind that my invites will most likely make it to the trash can before I get back from my HM. Only my immediate family will want to keep them. JMO. Some things arent worth stressing over.

Re: another invitation question
I say if your second guessing your first choice, then you're not all that crazy about it. If you like the boxed one and it is cheaper by $2 per invite you'll be saving a ton of money... I think I like the boxed one better. Much nicer presentation.

Re: another invitation question
I like the gold ribbon one better. The green one is nice too but the gold one has more of the wow factor. Plus you save $$$$. I did my proofs via email and everything came out great.

I really like the first invite pictured. If they are less money AND its only a $30 charge for the rush I'd do it.

Re: another invitation question
First one above (brown) is gorgeous! Very similar look to the green one- but less $$ and can get here on time & avoid that stress for you.... I would absolutely order this one!! Nice find

Re: another invitation question
Either one is gorgeous, but my advice, after sending away for a gazillion samples, is DO NOT order anything until you have a physical sample of it in your hands. It doesn't have to have your wording of course, but just so you can feel the paper, see the ink, etc. You have no idea how many invites I saw online that I fell in love with and was convinced they'd be gorgeous in person and they were awful....and you and I have talked about paper quality and stuff so I know you know what I mean. If you love the boxed one more, and you get a physical sample and still love it, then go for it!
Out of curiousity, how are boxed invites addressed? Would you just have Wendy address a shipping label nicely or do you put the box inside a padded envelope?? How does it work?
