Hey there! This website has been incredibly helpful while I plan my LI wedding from DC. But now I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to.
Are there any DC girls who have recommendations for local invitation stores and/or calligraphers? The Washingtonian wedding guide isn't really helpful, since most of the calligraphers they list work with the White House. I'm guessing anyone who works with the White House is a little out of my budget! Thanks so much!

Brooklyn Bagel in Courthouse is a pretty decent bagel joint.
When can we GTG? We should all go to the Gtown waterfront!
I'm going up to NY tomorrow for the weekend but maybe the weekend of the 7th?

There is a paper store around the corner from me, they might know of calligraphers.
Its called the Papery and its on Clarendon Blvd between Fillmore and Edgewood.
Isn't it fun planning a NY wedding from down here? I am going up to NY every other weekend this summer - no beach time.
I used to live in Lyon Village before we got married---love love love Clarendon--was at the ballroom for HH last night!
Love the deck at the Ballroom - did you hear it collapsed a couple of weeks ago?

Ohh love the waterfront., would love to plan for that-not sure if that weekend works ...on July 7, DH is doing a cameo appearance in his former band (gonzo's nose) at Clarendon Grill so I'll be there if any NoVa girls are interested.....

I'd be down for something, definitely. The waterfront is probably a good meeting spot because we're kind of all spread out between MD and VA. The question is, can we make it work???
