AAHHHHHH!!!! I'm getting so discouraged, because just by seeing Douglaston Manor (after the renovations they completed in April)...I fell in love with it!! But I'm reading bad reviews on here and it's scary!!
Some of the other places I've considered so far....
Sans Souci- Sea Cliff (fiance thinks it's too small, we're probably having around 160 people)
Metropolitan- Glen Cove (ditto- he thinks its too small, but we went for a tasting there...and the food was amazing!, I loved the decor)
Stewart Manor- loved the decor of the place (I liked the exposed wood beams) and they give you a great price....but I was concerned that if there's bad weather and we had the CH all indoors, it might be a little bit crowded...also didn't really care for the bridal suite
Larkfield Manor- I absolutely loved this place!!! The owners are very nice & accomodating, but my fiance doesn' t know if he wants to do Suffolk, since we're Queens folk!!
I'm going to check out Stuart Thomas Manor also- they have good prices.
I'm trying to keep my price at $85pp or under for a Saturday night in September/October. Anyone have suggestions??

We will always recommend Mediterranean Manor in Patchogue. But I don't know if you want to go out that far. We had a wonderful expereince with them and it was under $60 pp for our Sat night wedding. (It's probably gone up a bit since we booked in Nov '04)

Woodbury Country Club maybe? Not sure what their price would be in Oct., but even for June/July they seemed very reasonable. That's eastern Nassau County.
I think the Swan Club in Roslyn is reasonable too, not sure of the size though.
There were posts recently about RH prices, can you do a search? Best Wishes!
Miller Place Inn - $85 PP on Sunday I believe (when I am getting married). Loveley place.

Thanks!!! I checked with Swan Club- they are $90 pp for a Saturday night, which isn't so bad, but I was nervous about them having up to 3 weddings at a time.

I never saw other brides when I went there.
It may be hard to do a Saturday night for a 1 wedding place only for under $85

Yes I know I have a challenge ahead of me for a Saturday night!!! That's why I'm turning to my fellow brides for help!! I've called a lot of places...and the only ones in that price range in Nassau were Sans Souci, Metropolitan & Stewart Manor- all of them only hold 1 party- and all of them got slammed down by the fiance.
He really loves Douglaston- and they're giving us a price of $85pp for a Saturday- which is good, but I'm nervous about their reviews! Although there's not many on here since they've renovated. At Douglaston there's 2 parties at a time- which is the most I think I'd want to have.

Have you tried the Westbury Manor, Woodbury COuntry Club, Fox Hollow Inn, or the Roslyn Carlomont Hotel?

Try Chateau La Mer...they only do one wedding at a time & we are paying $65pp + an additional $10pp for the Vieniesse Hour....the place is absolutely gorgeous and since you're getting married in September/October you can have the option of the yacht arrival for you and your fiancee. We are not able to have the yacht arrival b/c they only do it May-October...FM me if you need more details...Good Luck

Thank you for all the suggestions- I really appreciate them.....just so everyone knows, here's the prices I've received:
Westbury Manor: $95 for a Friday evening
Woodbury CC: wouldn't give me exact price over the phone- but said Friday to Saturday is a $25 difference, and Saturdays are over $100pp
Fox Hollow- I was told Friday is under $80 and Saturday is under $100- plus I'm in a bridal party there next year, not sure if I want to do the same place!!
Roslyn Claremont- got the BM's voicemail- but weddingsitesandservices.com has their price range as $80-150 pp so I'm sure for September they'd probably be on the high end of the price range! It does look gorgeous though.....
Chateau La Mer- Saturday $110pp- love that its right on the water
George Washington Manor- Saturday $90-115pp depending on the package- it looks beautiful!!
I think I'm going to go back to Swan Club since I was only there for a bridal expo and it was before I was engaged....so once I'm there maybe they will be more open to negotiating!!

**I just looked in Wedding Sites & Services, and they have them listed as having 2 affairs at a time- but....I know some places will let you have the facility exclusively if you guarantee enough people.

It's in Brentwood, which isn't THAT far into Suffolk county, and it's budget friendly!

What about The Vineyard Caterers....... We just had ours there and it's great. We had it on a Saturday afternoon and the price seems to be in your range.

the Brentwood Counrty Club is very pretty and the prices are great! they have a pak. deal that includes everything u need inclueds 100 people anyone over 100 is 70.00 pp for a sat night...

eastwind will do a saturday night for under 85?? really? i know the country gardens are less expensive, but even when i looked there for a daytime wedding, they were about 80.

You already tried Fox Hollow, but what about the Milleridge or Crest Hollow - they're in the same range. A Saturday in April or March was about $85 at all 3 if I remember correctly - not sure about September or October because I was looking into Spring months, but it's worth a shot (and the Milleridge is one bride at a time too).
