So, I used to be a big party girl, going out all the time, etc. Then I met FH and now my ideal night, in all honesty, is sitting on the couch w/our cats watching a movie and eating some food. I really, truly, have no desire to go 'out-out' to bars and what not. Did anyone else get lame like this? I feel guilty that I never go out w/my friends on a friday night, but the desire just isnt there. And sometimes I *do* sense a little bit of an attitude that I'd prefer to stay home most of the time. Am I alone??

So funny you broguth this up! FH and I had this talk last night about how boring we are now. I used to go out every night and drink and party and now id much rather stay home and talk on the comp or sit in the yard with the girls and Knit lol im an old lady!

i definitely dont party as much as i used to. I have been going out here and there lately though and went out to a club last week.
But most of my friends are in relationships so its not like most of them are partying every weekend anymore either

FH was the biggest party animal and now he is over it...he'll go once in while out with friends but i wish he would want to go out dancing more

I get the 'I never see you anymore' thing a lot. I have no problem going out shopping, out to eat, etc, but its like if its not a bar, its not good enough! Rgh.

YES im boring., its my friend's birthday tonite and I dont even feel like going lol.....Im just not into it...not even 'once in a while'., Id much rather go out with just hang out with FH

Sorry to crash, but this has been coming up a lot lately with my friends. About half of my friends are married or engaged, the rest are single or in early-stage relationships. One of my BMs has been talking to me a lot about how a lot of our friends are trying to 'out-boring' each other. I try not to take offense because I understand where she's coming from, but it's not just the marriage part. Some of us have bought houses so it's not as easy. My biggest thing is that me going out and getting blitzed at 23 was one thing, at 28 it's not as 'cute' anymore.

Im hella boring lol. We're usually at home doing nothing. I would like to go out more but sometimes $$ just doesnt allow for it.

i definitely agree. my ideal night used to be going out and getting wrecked and now i just want to cuddle up with FH and our puppy. . .
my friends understand but i try to make an effort to hang out with them too bc i dont want to lose them

I like going out still- but my taste has changed. i like going to nice places- which is hard cus they are usually more $$. And I like sitting at home or friends homes and having wine and talking (usually about weddings). And I like going to dinner with friends and drinking at restaurants. But Im not into loud bars or cheesey clubs anymore. So yes- Im pretty boring!
Does 'partying' at work count? Haha

hahaha our ideal night is going to dinner and then watching a movie! Either with other couples or just the two of us! We used to be huge party animals but things change i guess.

tell me about it..i work in the city 5 days a week..i dont want to go back there for an overcrowded bar/club.

I don't think it's being boring. You like other things now because you're older. It could also be that you don't like that type of environment or don't like how you feel the next day or just want to save money. FH and I used to go out all the time and since then we've cut back tremendously. Why spend all this money at the bar and have to worry about driving home when you can drink at home and have people over?

OMG me too .. really i get sick... i dont want to 'waste' all that $$ to get there, get home, get in and have a drink or eat....
the end of the night im poor and starved.
sat i have a party to go to .. and honestly im not looking foward to it and already told her if she decides after we get to brooklyn she wants to goto the city i will just go home.
im in the city all the time... fun is not traveling there on the weekend.
im so boring now...

same...
We still go out but usually it's happy hour (which is about 8 hrs long) or wineries... or BEER PONG TOURNAMENT! (can you tell I'm excited?)
Our big night out is beach volleyball on Tuesday nights - we play and drink beer... It's really fun actually!

Yeah, I'm here 5 days a week and on the weekends getting here is a pain too.
