i dont want any kids at my wedding but is it tacky to put on the invitation 'adult reception only'?

I plan to include a note along with the STDs letting everyone know its adults only. That way they know way ahead of time a can plan for it.

Article - Children at Weddings

The only children we plan to have are our RB and FG; and that is only because they are my children.
My mother is upset as all of my siblings have children, i feel that a wedding isnt a place for children even the teenage ones. They get bored and make it stressful for people to let loose knowing that they may say/do something a parent may not want their children to witness. As i told my mother my Fiancee and I are paying the bill and rather include more of our friends than pay for plates of children that rather be home watching tv. (Lucky enough both sets of grandparents live near enough to the reception hall totake the children home if necessary)

luckily there are not too many children in our families so its not a huge issue.. we are only having my cousin who is 6 and is my flower girl.
