Is anyone else worried about the bachelor party? I have heard SO MANY bad things (guys having sex with strippers or other sexual things.) I feel like everyone thinks I am crazy for worrying.

Re: Bachelor Party
think the 'power of alcohol' is an excuse - something someone uses when they're trying to backpedal out of something stupid that they did - most likely, something they thought about doing without alcohol. JMO though.
My friend always said ' a drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts.' I think that would apply for actions as well.

Re: Bachelor Party
I have to agree with CINIMOK on this. You can't underestimate the power of opportunity. I think women who swear up and down that their FH could NEVER cheat on them are fooling themselves. (That is not directed at anyone in particular). Like CINI said - IT HAPPENS!! And yes, it happens to women who trust their partners completely and think they would never do such a thing.
That is not to say that you can't trust FH 100%, or that if it's going to happen it's going to be at the BP, or that all men cheat, OR THAT you should worry yourself sick about it. This is a chance we all take when entering into a monogamous, commited relationship. You just have to accept that you are taking that chance. Just like when you get married, you have to accept the truth that there IS a chance you could get divorced. Worrying a little is normal and perfectly fine. Worrying yourself sick is not and could signify trust or insecurity issues. JMO

Marcela, what I wrote was certainly not a personal statement towards you or your FH. I don't even know you. And like I said, this is a topic that is impossible to generalize. Everyone has to find a ways that work for them in their relationships. But I am still standing by my convinctions about alcohol. I know too much about it not to.

Re: Bachelor Party
Ladies, I totally understand your concerns. My FI wants to go to Vegas with his friends for the Bachelor party. My sisters suggested that my girlfriends and I go away too, but I think its too much money to ask my friends to spend.
My sister's husband went to Vegas on his bachelor party and invited my FI. I didn't want him to go. Then I tried to figure out why- and it was more about him getting drunk and passing out than anything else (since he would not be around his own friends to look out for him, but some my BIL's friends). I realized then, that i was not even worried about him hooking up. I thought there may be hookers there (b.c my BIL's friends are single), but I didn't think he or my BIL would end up with one. In the end, my FI didn't go.
I trust him and that is that! I have been to parties with male strippers and although it was fun, I never thought it would go further than looking. He knows he will never take a trip like that again with all the boys without me- so let him have his fun!

Re: Bachelor Party
I hate the stupid tradition. This is such a masochistic (ok I can't spell it) world if guys need to have fun with naked girls before they get married. I can't believe this tradition still goes on.
My FI says he'd rather do something like camping and fishing, but you know his friends will use this as an excuse to get a stripper anyway. I just don't trust what things can happen b/c I've heard horror stories as well about how a stripper could just as well end up doing things like a hooker would. Even if he's not participating, I'd be skeeved to think if sick things were going on right in front of his face. Ugh.

Re: Bachelor Party
I know! I can't believe anyone would want a dirty skank flashing her goods in their face. It's stupid! And besides girls... There are other ways to be unfaithful. What is a one night stand compared to say a non-sexual but extremely close and heartfelt relationship your significant other might develop with a co-worker or a friend???? There are so many things to consider. But really. We'd all go nuts if we did.

Re: Bachelor Party
I told my FI to please, please go to a strip club if him and/or his friends want strippers present for his bachelor party. I just do not trust hotel room parties where there are strippers. At least at most strip clubs, there is only so much that can happen.

Re: Bachelor Party
I agree! A strip club is much more monitored than some random gang bang party at a hotel room. I'm sorry. But I saw VERY BAD THINGS with Christian Slater. Anyone else? It was a terrible, black comedy. But awesome!

I said the same thing to FH! I don't care if he goes to twelve stripper bars in one night, just don't have them in a room, or in a house. That was my only request.

Re: Bachelor Party
My FI and I are both going to South Beach seperate weekends for ours and I trust him. Even if he had strippers (which he probably wont cause he doesnt like them, but who knows w/ his friends), I dont ever think he would do anything. If I worried about it til then I would make myself crazy. He said they are disgusting and ugly most of the time anyway so would our men really want to do anything anyway?

Re: Bachelor Party
Keep in mind that many strip clubs have private 'VIP' rooms, where it's just the guy and the stripper. So it's not necessarily better (i.e., safer) for him to go to a club...

Re: Bachelor Party
I completely agree with everyone! I just don't like the fact of them... I'm not really worried that FH will do anything, but the friend that will probably plan it is complete frat boy and just got out of a 2 year relationship, so I know all the partying mentality is back. I don't know, I just don't like the ideas of other women all over my man...

I'm not worried either. If I don't have complete trust in FI now, will I ever?
