seems like a lot of people are using bands...i would really love a band if I find a really good one

if you can afford it it really makes a party. Live entertainment. You can have a DJ at any party but when would you hire a band.

My friend used heart and soul for her band and they were amazing.....its part of the franklin wayne music

if you go with a dj check out fm entertainment

We are doing a dj b/c FH wanted one and its alot cheaper but I really like a live band at weddings....def check out heart and soul

For me, I like a dj better. I like to hear songs exactly how they were made and when bands sing they usually come out differently. I like bands but in my personal opinion a dj is better.

I absolutely love a band! IMO nothing beats live music. However, FH prefers a dj. I lost the argument - we're getting a dj

But, we picked a dj I feel comfortable with (I wanted the wedding to be about the two of us - not the dj and I've been to too many weddings where I felt like the dj was the center of attention).

Whatever you choose as long as you and your guests have a good time, then it's all ok.

ditto, i may decide to have a string quartet for the ceremony though but otherwise dj all the way with the original versions of the music haha

its all about personal preference. I preferred a DJ, I like hearing the songs by the actual artist. My mom preferred a band, for some silly reason she thinks a band is classier? oh well.

I totally agree with that! Bands can also be very expensive.

We were originally going to go with a band but then realized that it just would not fit into our budget so now we are using Starlight Express as our DJ and could not be happier.

You have to get what you like best. Everyone has different opinions. Some liek to hera the music as it really is so a DJ is fab but some like teh sound of live music so obviously a band. Which do u prefer & go with tha!

We're doing a DJ mainly because of cost. I've heard some pretty awesome bands, they're just really expensive. Our DJ did FH's sister's wedding in September and was awesome! So I'm totally confident! Our DJ is doing our uplighting too.

my FSIL used body heat band for their wedding and they were awesome.

FH and I just went to a showcase last night and heard a band called The Unionn, they were awesome!! If you're looking for a band I would def. check them out. I'm pretty sure their website is www.theunionn.com Good luck!

I listen to house music ALOT! So, i dont think there is bands out there that can sing some of that stuff. Not that my dj is only going to play that, but its going to be alot of variety, so i need a dj. I have heard some good bands tho!
