Yes. He called my dad a few days before and drove up to my parents house one night the week he proposed. He told me he was going to his friend in Yonkers to play poker.

He asked my dads permission. He wanted it to be a surprise to my mom...he knew there was no permission needed on my moms part she loves FH like a son even before we got engaged.

yes...well he went to my dad and said he wanted to propose to me for christmas and wanted to make sure it was ok. lol he didnt exactly say 'can i marry your daughter' lol Then my dad did the 'dad thing' lol what if this and what if that and blah blah blah lol but they love him!

yes he asked my father and my mom knew ahead of time he was going to ask my dad. It was my dads birthday and we went over to see him, i had to go do something quickly and thats when he asked...well my mom was sitting there too so guess he asked both

my father had passed beforehand (even before FH ever had the chance to meet him ) so FH asked my mom and oldest brother for their blessing!

My FH didnt, he is kinda shy when it comes to that stuff around family, thats why he didnt propose to me in front of NO ONE, we were alone, just me ,him and the humidity/heat that night, hahahaha. My dad wasnt going to say no anyways, lolol

My dad passed away 5 years ago but FH and I have been dating for almost 8 so my dad knew him well for a couple of years and loved him. FH told me that a couple of weeks ago on my dads birthday he went to the cemetery and asked my dad if he had his permission to marry me

Yea he is so sweet. He went in August on my dads birthday and told me a couple of days later.
