Birth Control Pill..

What pill do you take... and do you get any side effects? I've heard some make you get crazy mood swings, break out, gain weight, and increase bust size.
HELP!!

On the Ring..NuvaRing and love it.
They all make you crazy IMO
I must say I think I have no complaints with this

I use the patch....I get rashes from it and I do get wicked mood swings....but everyone is different. You should talk to your doctor about what they suggest might work best for you. There are a variety of methods available

I take Yaz...although I have no complaints about it, some of my friends have complained of larger breasts.

i LOVED the patch but my doctor took me off of it b/c of all those reports about it being more dangerous than regular birth control pills....i lost weight when i stopped using the patch - doctor said probably because the patch may have been giving me LOTS of horomones - everyones body absorbs it differently and i was probably get way more than i needed.....i was heavier and my boobs were fuller.....i did always notice than when i had my period i weighed 5lbs less which was weird to me b/c usually girls complain they weigh more when they have their period.....but it actually was because for that week i was off the patch which made me thinner....

so anyways i started taking some generic brand called aviane. its one of those very low dose pills....its ok i guess.....

That is the pill I really want to take (Yaz or Yasmine). I was researching it and found this huge thread of ppl saying how terrible they felt when they were on it. Suicidal etc. Im sure everyone reacts differently, but the thread was HUGE.
Did yaz make you gain a lot of weight??

Im going to the doc next week, so I thought Id get your ideas first.

I take Loestrin. I LOVE IT. I've been on about 4 pills before this one (i'm on it for medical reasons) and this was the only one that worked. I get my period for 2 days and i've had no side effects. Just a little nausea for the first few weeks but nothing i couldnt handle

NuvaRing and love it. birth control pills made me hormonal, dizzy, lightheaded and sick.

I took Yaz this year for 4months, never felt good on it. I am a moody person to begin with, it made it worse by about a million degrees, to the point where FH was going to make me come off of it!

Im on Loestrin and so far so good...i had been on Ortho Tricyclin Lo but it was giving me breakthrough bleeding (sorry to be gross) so I switched...I also used the patch...i didnt like it at all..it gave me severe nausea and rashes and mood swings and weight gain! I did have huge boobs though! lol

i love loestrin, i have no problems but mirganes that is it. i love it b/c of the 3 day period that is it.

I'm on Yaz and I love it. I've been on Yasmin, which was okay too and Loestrin...which I hated! that one made me moody, and feel sick.

I never gained weight on Yaz or Yasmin, keeps my skin clear and really short periods. =) My boobs may be a bit bigger...but they've always been huge, so who can tell.

Everyone's different, but here's my experience:

I took Yasmin for 6 months and cried every day. You know how the day before your period you're more moody and argumentative? I was like that every day for 6 months. It was the 3rd Pill I was on (my 1st stopped being carried by insurance and the 2nd gave me awful cramps). I went off of BC Pills altogether and lost like 10 pounds and my mood / libido improved very quickly. But I got terrible acne and my periods lasted 8 or 9 days like they did before I was on the Pill. I can't win.

So after 11 years of trial and error, now I'm on Loestrin and my skin is clear, my periods last only 4 days, no cramps. I'm grumpy 2 days a month, but who isn't?

I've been on orthotricyclin lo for a few years now and the only side effect that i have is getting a little bloated

I use Ovcon 50, which is similar to lo-estrin just a different combination of the same hormones. I was on loestrin but it wasn't helping me with the issues I needed it to. But I've been on Ovcon for 5 years now and I love it. I never gained a pound of weight when I went on it and sadly the boobs haven't gotten any bigger either. HTH!

I'm on Yaz. I love it! Before Yaz, I was on orthotricyclin, and it made me nearly suicidal during the days before my period, particularly after my dad died. I told my doctor, and he switched me to Yaz. Within 2 months, I was feeling about a million times better.
