my mom told me something similar... cause we are getting married on the same date (16th) and the same RH as my sister... who was actually almost 4 months preggo at her wedding... my mom was like ... please dont do that... lol

otherwise everyone was said 'finally'

ok that is absolutely hilarious

a coworker said - 'are you sure you want to get married?! You should really think about it'

My friend said 'oh thank god, now the cows will come home'

I don't know how strange this is (maybe it is?), but whenever I go to my parents' house, my Dad asks me, 'So you still getting married?' He's being funny when he asks, he's just that type of Dad

The usual was said to me last year after we got engaged, but something RUDE was said to me the other day on Christmas Eve. A very distant by marriage family member said to myself and FH, 'Oh good luck, you'll need it because once a woman is married she's gonna get crazy, they all do!' I was like What a Jerk!!! Of course this comes from someone who is divorced, and has 'other' problems on top of that. Whatever.

yes bc the size of your ring determines how much your FH loves you (not that my ring is Huge anyway)

FSIL said to FH as he told her he just got engaged: 'are u sure???? u never met her family! this is a big decision, u dont want to be making mistakes'


ETA: she also told him that when he said we are thinking of doing it in my home country how dangerous it is over there and why would he EVER want to go there and have a wedding cause no one will come

To show that men think a like, when I told my guy friends that I was getting married they asked when was my date, not so they can come to the wedding though, they asked so that they knew how many more months they had to try to convince me to sleep with them .......they are so silly.......

That reminds me! The night I got engaged, FH's friend who is my friend too, texted me, 'Is it too late to confess my love for you?' I had to laugh and then I responded, 'Yes, too late.'
At our e-party, the same friend asked if he could give a speech which would consist of him professing his love for me!

Hmmm, maybe there's a pattern here? Nahh, he's a funny guy who THRIVES on starting trouble and having the spotlight on him. I thought nothing of it.

this didn't happen when we got engaged, but recently.....

my cousin goes, 'you know, marriage isn't all its cracked up to be. You will see when you come home and Gianni is waiting for a hot meal on the table, you have to pick up after his clothes and clean his mess........its not all that great'...

WOW CUZ, GREAT VIEW ON MARRIAGE...SORRY YOURS SUXXXXXXXXXXXXX!



oh and, gianni knows better than to expect a warm meal on the table, just cause your DH is a caveman from 1920, doesn't mean they all are. thanks though.

My friend that lives in Hawaii said..

'ohhhhh....so you're going to be all.......married and stuff......and having babies and stuff.........'

and I said 'Pam, I'm not having babies'

One of the qualities I've always loved about her was her ability to be brutally honest. So while this initially irritated me, hey, at least she's not being phony about her feelings.
