Yay!!!! I have been dealing with Scott too, he's awesome. Are you having your ceremony there? Let us know how the invites go and picking out the menu goes..Good Luck!!
Are any of you dealing with Sami? Most of you seem to deal with Scott, and I know he has the 2nd desk in the office, but I've never seen him when I've gone in, or he's been with another couple!
As for the ceremony - I'm getting married at a Church located near where I live in Port Jefferson. What about the rest of you? Where do you all live?

Are you doing the entire selection on Saturday, or just the invitations, linens, etc?

Decorate the bride & groom chairs? I must be naive - I've never heard of this! What would decorated chairs look like?

FH and I got to talking about pictures and who would be in them and where. Where are all of you having your wedding photos taken? At the reception hall or on the golf course, or in front of the building, etc.? Let me know your thoughts!

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
Since FI is a crazy golfer, we are hoping to do pic's on the course before ceremony.Since you girls are being so helpful, I have another question..... I've been working with Scott, and he never mentioned different packages. I checked my receipt, and apparently, we have the Royal package. Does anyone know what the differences are b/c I checked the website and couldn't find anything to help. This place just keeps getting better for me
Thanks in advance for your help yet again!!!

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
Hi guys,Decorating the chairs - the chair cover (linen)with sash...I am having a block on what it is called.
I am having pictures by the gazebo and then on the golf course (I think they have a certain spot where they set up). I personally do not think the front of the hall is pretty for pictures. You could always take pictures on the stairs when you first walk in too.
I have the Fantasy Package. This is a little more money, but it includes 3 extra dishes at cocktail hour, ice sculpture, cold seafood bar (clams, oyters, mussels and shrimp), the meat is upgraded to filet mignon, and some other extras.
Did any of you Brentwood brides go to the showcase this past November 2005?

There is the Royal package, which is the standard package that you and I have and the other is called the Fantasy package that Cynthia has.

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
We registered for most things at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and Fortunoff. And since we couldn't find any nice glassware at either of those spots, we registered for them at Crate and Barrel. Have Fun!

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
I am getting married there also 6/24/06 7-1am. I already picked out the invitations and they came within a few days, no problems thank goodness. I met with the DJ company yesturday from Xtreme Sounds DJ. I was unaware that they changed DJ's. This DJ told me that they started there in September. I was glad to hear this..... I went to two weddings last year befor the change and the DJ was horrible.I am having a difficult time picking a cake though. I did not like any in the book they show. Does anyone has any suggestions where i can look? The BCC told me that i can bring a picture to the bakery and they will make me the cake within reason...

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
Hey guys....just wanted to let you know last night went relatively painless...lol. No really, there were a lot of invitations and cakes to choose from (which can get a little overwhelming) but ask to see the cake in the blue photoalbum.. It was beautiful and we just changed it up a bit with purple flowers instead of white. We still have to call the vendors, so hopefully they'll be good as well. ( I am such a music person I hope the DJ is great. I know thats where I will so turn in to a Bridezilla lol!)
Remember though, it's YOUR wedding. My parents and sister wanted to come with us, and though I love them dearly, I found myself trying to make everyone happy.
Last, but not least, if you can afford it, the Fantasy package was about 2800 more, but had a few neat extras (ice scupture, raw fish bar during cocktail hour, vianese table, etc.) It's worth looking in to.
Goodluck!

I had the same problem, I didn't like anything they showed me. My FH and I went to the bakery on Saturday, and they were excellent. They could change the cake type, the frosting type and color. It is a little bit extra money, but they are willing to do whatever I want! And she offered to do the tasting right then, even though we had no appointment. Everything was delicious. We were very happy!
Now I hope the florist is as easy!!

I wonder why they changed DJ's. I checked out their web site and they are located in the same place I bought my BM dresses at Helen's at The Wedding World in Commack. Great place!
You can alway go into a nearby bakery and ask to see pictures of cakes they developed, or start a new thread on here and see if any other LIW bride has pictures of their cakes to show you. That's nice that the bakery will work with us on this!!!

Where is the bakery? I didn't see the name or location on the contract forms.
