I am having a difficult time picking a cake though. I did not like any in the book they show. Does anyone has any suggestions where i can look? The BCC told me that i can bring a picture to the bakery and they will make me the cake within reason...
I had the same problem, I didn't like anything they showed me. My FH and I went to the bakery on Saturday, and they were excellent. They could change the cake type, the frosting type and color. It is a little bit extra money, but they are willing to do whatever I want! And she offered to do the tasting right then, even though we had no appointment. Everything was delicious. We were very happy!
Now I hope the florist is as easy!!
How did you like the taste samples? Sweet? Dry?

Hi Ladies....I had my reception at the BCC last March and we chose to go with an outside DJ. and now the DJ we went with is the house DJ for the BCC so you will have no problems with them
I guess the workers at the BCC liked our DJ so much, they decided to have them as their house dj.
Good luck ladies...

Where is the bakery? I didn't see the name or location on the contract forms.
It's called Campbell's Bakery. 794 Suffolk Ave. in Brentwood.
The cake was really good, we especially liked the chocolate mousse and the cannoli. But everything was really good and they were very helpful. The lady helping kept bringing out samples, and even though I asked a hundred and one different questions, she never got annoyed with me. So, definitely go, even without pictures, and describe what you want. I'm sure you'd have no problems!

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
I love this trail of emails...Like Cheri said previously the upgraded package is definitely worth it and affordable.
I have an appt for March 4 to meet with the florist. Then, I am going to go to the bakery. I wanted to be sure of the colors that I was using in the bo-k's to match the cake. I think I am going to try to bring pictures..we'll see.
What invites did you guys use. I looked online and liked T3101, T3137 and T3388, but we'll see when I go there in person.
I am taking off this Monday and registering, definitely at Bed Bath and Beyond. I was going to register at Fortunoffs for their china, but the china i like is at Bed Bath and Beyond and my guests could use the 20% coupons. At least I could register there for now.
I like the DJ too when I met them at the Noc'05 showcase. Were any of you there for that one?
Talk to you soon....

I went and found the DJ's web site last night and contacted them to verify they were the house DJ now. Their site is: DJ
I'm registering this weekend with BB&B as well as Macy's.
Let us know how the visits go, and if you have pictures. Post them, so we can get ideas. I know what I'm having in my boquet, but as for the BM, and the center pieces, I'm clueless.

Who was your DJ (if you had a choice)? Would you recommend them and why? I've only heard them via their web site and have not been to a show at BCC since Jan 05, so I only know the old DJ company. My FH and I are curious on this since music is an important part of how the party plays along during the day. TIA!

I think the old DJ was called DJ PRo's or something similar to that. When we went to a showcase and met with them, we weren't impressed with the representative and decided to go on our own with an outside DJ. 1 of my bridesmaids used X-treme sounds DJ for her wedding a year prior to mine and we were really impressed with them. It's family run, Very convenient and they were always willing to help with picking music. THey took their time helping us go thru our music list.
ON the day of our wedding, they showed up extra early to set up (because they NEVER played at the BCC before) verified all info prior to people arriving for the reception and kept the dance floor packed the entire night.
The MC did a great job at getting people out on the dance floor. At the end of our reception, numerous people asked them and us for either their business cards or phone #.
They must of left a lasting impression because the BCC called them after my wedding and now they are the house DJ so....
If you have any other specific questions, please do not hesitate to ask. All in all, I think you will have a great experience with them and the BCC all together.
good luck planning

I don't know if the package deal at the BCC allows a DJ and an MC or just a DJ.
But when we had them as our DJ, they weren't the house DJ for the BCC yet so...
