I have officially gone over budget. Without giving any personal information, has anyone gone over budget? I'm feeling like I'm the only one.

Oh I'm over budget too, and I don't think we're the only ones! I was under budget in a few key areas so it helps balance where I blew my budget... I'm so happy my wedding is soon because I don't think I can handle all of this money flying out the door for much longer!!!

WAY over budget. We just realized the type of wedding we wanted was going to cost us more than we initially thought. It's hard because you come up with a budget when you have virtually no idea what things cost besides looking in magazines and websites.. but Long Island weddings are NOT like other weddings! But we've accepted it and I'm not allowed to go over budget on anything else lol

I have realized that we can't afford a honeymoon lol. I wanted to us take two trips but now we can't afford not even one trip! It's hard when you're paying bills and paying for a wedding.

Budget? What's that LOL! We went SO over budget its kinda nauseating when we think about it. BUT we had the perfect day and wouldn't change a thing !

I thought I had everything budgeted perfectly all my vendors were at or under budget. But it's the little things that are killing us like the invitations, rings, decor, day of accessories...yikes!

I didn't even set a budget because I know me...I wouldn't stick with it anyway. Lol. I negotiated with most of my vendors and tried to buy my personal stuff and BM gifts during friends and family sale. All of it still cost a small fortune but getting a 'deal' makes me feel better.

I'm WAY over budget also! Lol it was a little things that you don't account for and they start at really add up. We're still not done either so it's going to continue to climb.

Oh that B word. So far, the only vendor we have gone over budget with is the DJ. We are spending way more than I anticipated though as a whole for the entire wedding and it's only the beginning of the planning process. Ugh, it's scary, but another reason why we chose to have a two year engagement. You are most certainly not alone lol.

I was extremely strict with our budget but that all went away when we had to switch wedding venues with only six months left before the wedding... so far we are about $5K over our original budget but at this point I don't care any more. 40 days to go and I can't wait!

Nope it's not just you. We did as well. Well actually we started with a budget that was just unrealistic. We went over the moment we booked our venue lol. So we made a new more realistic budget and have done our very best to stay within it. I agree with the other brides Etsy is addictive and at fault lol!!!

We are at or about around our budget. We are paying for most of the wedding ourselves, so we are being very careful with spending. We spent a majority of our money on the venue, I found good deals on a photographer and am using a co-worker for our DJ. Flowers, I am DIYing and bought a cheaper dress.

We are cutting anywhere we can and not booking things that are not necessary.

We didn't really set a budget. Were really the first of our group of friends to get married so we didn't really anticipate how much everything really came to when all was said and done. Trying to be careful about everything but it all adds up so quickly. Definitely freaking out about it just about every day and we have 7 months to go.. I'm going to need a RX for Xanax soon! lol And then I get sick about how much were spending in total because we could've eloped and spent all this money on a down payment for a beautiful house haha. I just keep telling myself were only doing this once and its going to be amazing. It helps a little lol
