Misty - did anyone point you out specifically or are you suffering from a guilty conscience?

Re: C-sections...

Well said Shamee. Looks like I missed a lot while I was away this week.

We also have to remember that and I think I got flamed for saying this once before. TTC and having babies and being able to breast feed are out of our control in a lot of ways. Of course we would all like it to go one way or another (just like we did when planning our weddings) but it doesn't always work out that way. These little babies are calling the shots. If they don't want to turn they won't. If they don't want to breastfeed we shouldn't try and make them so we can feel more complete (I know a whole different topic) but for those that already have beautiful babies be happy they got here (no matter how it came to be c-section or vaginal) and that they are heathy. A lot of women don't get that lucky. And for the PReggos be happy they are preggo (even if you are sick everyday or as Jenny would say have legs like ham sticks) A lot of girls here would welcome that.

As for Stef's comment about not knowing that there was competition on the parenting board. I lurk quite often and never saw that. I didn't know you could compete over something you have no control. Having a baby isn't a contest.

Be thankful for what you have (and this doesn't mean Michele-I am talking to everyone) It is an open forum but as someone else said don't call the kettle black.

Baby dust to all TTC and healthy 9 months to the Pregoos and to us lurkers-some more time of SAFE practice

Re: C-sections...

Glad to be back!!! Iowa is a scary place and damn was it COLD!

We are not ready yet but I have friends who have been through the trying and miscarriages and all they really want are healthy babies. If they come by c-section great. If they will or won't breast feed fine.

I didn't know that people were keeping score. Nobody needs to know how your baby is delivered or if they get fed by bottle or breast. It is nobodys business and shouldn't make you anyless of a mother!

Re: C-sections...

Well since this thread is still alive and kicking here's my two cents:

While I have nothing less than all the admiration and sympathy in the world for the TTCers and those who had difficulties at any point, isn't it time we gave Michele31 a break? She's obviously going through a lot of emotional turmoil and and she will come to terms with it in her own time. Yes, she contradicted herself-so what? Haven't we all, at some time in our lives, changed the way we feel about a certain issue? I understand Anna quoted her to make a point but it's a point that's been beaten to a pulp since then. Futhermore, Michele said she's sorry if she offended or upset anyone.

In closing, I'll have a western omelet with egg whites and a diet coke.

Re: C-sections...

Jen, what did you do in Iowa? I made a post on NWR how I'd wanna move there to win MegaBall

On a more serious note, even though you are not trying, I am glad you see the way alot of us feel. It is truly heart wrenching wanting a baby (healthy) so badly and.........

Well said Jenn P!

Although everyone makes good points, we are all forgetting one very important point - Michele never said anything to purposely hurt or offend anyone. All she did was share her own experience. Why are we beating her up for it? This has gotten really extreme. Some of the earlier posts written by a 'medical professional' were downright cruel IMO.

I CANNOT wait to hear the ear piercing story and I believe this Italian chick from BROOKLYN could give the girls from QUEENS a run for the money in the loud department!!

Lee, !! I don't know because this Queens chick is ALWAYS mistaken for a Brooklyn chick!!!!! That's the first thing people ask me, are you from Brooklyn?

Thanks Lauren!!! I hope we do get to meet this year!!!

And Anna Bella (I like that name) -- I know you were joking!!!! I was just busting 'em!!! (Hey I live with the world's biggest ball buster, I need to do it to someone every now and then!! )

As for the ear piercing story -- I just posted!!!
