Candle Centerpieces
I'm going to be honest: I'd rather not do floral centerpieces. I'm already spending too much money on this wedding and I have to improvise. Option 1: Using 3-4 pillar candles per table of different sizes, setting them on a glass mirror on a bed of rose petals. Option 2: candelabras with taper candles. For option 1: Does anyone know where I can find pillar candles of various sizes in bulk?
For option 2: Does anyone know where I can rent candelabras?
Thanks in advance!

I would get a florist quote anyway. The florist Im using is giving me a sweet deal and for me to do my own cps vs having the florist do it isnt a big enough savings to matter (maybe 50-100 bucks?). Sometimes its worth the piece of mind especially if your trying to do something like that. The price difference might not be big enough to matter... Good luck!

true- this is why we decided just to use a florist & not attempt to DIY (which was our original plan)

I totally agree. If I'm not really saving that much money in the end, I'm more than happy to pay someone else to do it. I don't even think I'm doing anything that much different - stick a candle in the candelabra and light it up! LOL

I bought glassware from quick candles and talked my florist into setting up for free as long as I buy the orchids from her. I'm saving about $1000 dgoing it this way. Candles are definitely not cheaper unless you can get someone to set it up. Some venues will also set up if it is simple enough but check with them and get it in writing, which I also have, just in case.

I would go with pillar candles for CPs. I saw pictures from a wedding that used candelbras and by the end of the night it was a melted mess. She used candlesticks though, thicker candles or candles in glass will hold their shape for the entire night.

I really love your idea! my RH is offering floral centerpieces but I do wonder if maybe they'll give me something else instead!

You can try getting a quote for 3 clear vases of different sizes with one flower in water in each vase and a floating candle at the top. This is what FH likes so I was thinking of doing this as our low centerpiece and alternating with a high centerpiece. I haven't met with florists yet but I went to a bridal showcase and a florist told me she would charge $70 for the low one.Welcome New Vendors
