I know there aren't many of us on here but I decided since some other halls have a 'thread' lets make one for us!

I LOVE talking to other Carlyle brides

I know since I booked- back in May, they changed a few things on the menu- I had just noticed it when I looked at a the menu when Carlyle had the bridal showcase last month!

Anyone else worried about the cocktail hour room being too small for your guests?

I spoke to my dad and asked him what he thought- I think he plans of tipping only $500. Not sure if that is right though- so you can't really go by me... I am also really interested what everyone else is doing....

we are so torn on this tipping thing!
i know the tip also takes care of the banquet manager and ours has done a great job for us.

i know that we are not going to tip at the high end of what they suggested. i think we are going to come up with a per head dollar amount and do that. although i don't know what it is yet.

Hi Ladies,

I am going to a Carlyle wedding tonight, and will be taking lots of pics, mainly because they are having Gatsby style, which is what I am doing, and I need to steal some ideas! LOL So I will keep you posted with how it all goes. I have to be on a plane at 4AM(OUCH ) so no reviews about the wedding til Monday, but I can't wait to see how well it goes. Yippeee

Just wanted to say HI to my fellow Carlyle Brides before leaving for the honeymoon! It was the most amazing day and I can't believe it is over. You have absolutely nothing to worry about. You and your guests will absolutely love everything about the Carlyle. We have gotten tons of rave reviews about the food (especially the mashed potato bar), the setup, the service, and the general atmosphere! My attendant, Janet, was wonderful. my drink was never less than half full, my lipstick was constantly touched up, and my every need was met! My photographer even commented that she was the best bridal attendant she has ever seen. Well that's it for the short review. I will post more when I return. We're off to Hawaii

It is table seating time!!!!

Where are you guys putting your bridal party tables, at 1 and 2?

Then are the parents the next table over closer to the dance floor- or at tables 2 and 3 by the window?

I am assuming they are closer to the dance floor.... just wanted to check... my fmil is complaining that she is sitting at table 6... instead of 2 because of the bridal party and then because 4 is closer to the window...

We were thinking MAYBE to sit alone...but i wanted to be with people,esp my BP..,,,so thats what we are doin.

Our table was at the opposite end of the dancefloor from the band. Our parents tables were in the middle probably 7 and 8? That's what was recommended so that they were closer to the center of the dancefloor where all the action happens. My mom was kind of annoyed at first but in the end I think she liked it.
We did not have a dais for the BP. They sat with their individual dates and family.

Question, is anyone doing table names instead of numbers? If so, can we use the frames the Carlyle uses for the table numbers, and what size are they?

i went on Friday to give our final check--wow i can't believe it's so close!

i did have a ? that i forgot to ask them and was hoping you could help--is espresso and cappucino included? i don't remember and if it's not i know I have to get it and give them more $ but i thought it was included just can't find it written anywhere.

I'm pretty sure it is. We had it ourselves and it wasn't extra as far as I know.
