Oh wow your right your wedding is in November. Don't mind me it just seems like I have so much time to go before the actual day. And everybody's favorite line is 'It will fly by so fast.' But to me it still seems so far away.
It does seem far away, although I have to say the time really is flying by!! :)
So who have you been dealing with at CLM? There are a few of us who check this thread often, and more and more new brides are coming onto BHB.... hopefully they will come here if they are in 05 as well!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Lou has been my point of contact and he is great very nice he always says if you have any questions call me. Hey I just thought of a question for you to ask how many tables would they set up for the reception if your having 200 guests.I have been dying to know so I can start getting price quotes from Florists for centerpieces.

We have been using Nick- he is wonderful! We did ask Lou a few questions when we made one of our payments, he seems very nice as well! I think they said the tables hold 10-12 depending on what size you want... but always go less with the florist- they can add centerpieces at any time- but you don't want to pay for too many!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
We do already have our florist- we booked them early cuz they tend to book quickly. We are using Burtons. Low centerpieces run about $65 each and the high ones run about $95. We are getting all of our flowers from them though. We did it early, because we knew who we wanted

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
As far as I know its not too bad- that includes any type of flowers that you want... I didn't really check anywhere else but I have heard of people paying a LOT more...Good luck- let me know what you find out when you start looking!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
We actually asked about how many people at a table last time we were there and Nick said 10 is the usual and is a comfortable fit. I have a question about the tables and centerpieces too...if your vendor table is in the back and is only like 6 people...does it still need a centerpiece? I hadn't thought of this when I booked my florist and put down tha approximate number of centerpieces.

I don't think that the vendors table gets a centerpiece! They really shouldn't be sitting other than to eat anyway :) DJ and MC should be up and moving, photo and video should be shooting

Yes, the website is: http://chateaulamercatering.com/Its under construction, so you can just get a basic idea. I know most of us CLM girls consider it the best kept secret on LI!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Haven't seen a review yet, and I've been anxiously waiting for it! One of the girls who went to the wedding posted some pictures and said everything was very good. It was on the BHB board if you do a search. You can't really see anything about the place to well in the pics cause they were focused on the people and not the background, but the outside ceremony looked very nice!Welcome New Vendors
