Cpst of wedding dress

What is everyone budgeting for their wedding dress? Hate to spend over 5k for one day...My brother said I was being cheap!!!

I was thinking more like 2000-2500 OR even cheaper!!!

Dammm, girl. That is not cheap. If you can do it, then DO IT! My dress was 1,000 and I LOVE IT!

i didnt want to spend over 5000 either. there werent many dresses that i looked at the really came close to that much anyway. i ended up finding a dress that was a great price and because it was so much cheaper than i budgeted for I was able to have it customized more.

I spent a pretty penny-- especially if you add in veil, headpiece, day of jewlery--- but do what you can afford coupled with WHAT YOU LOVE!
You only live once-- enjoy it!

I got my dress for 1000!! and that was alittle too much lol...You can find great dresses for cheap at a lot of places!

My dress was 1800.00.....I never thought that I would have to spend that much...It is soooo worth it though!

Yeah I got my dress, jewelry, tiara, veil all for under $1000, but I shopped with one of my BM's and found great deals. I tried on my dress day 2 of shopping and tried on a hundred more dresses, some of them up to $2500. But nothing ever compared to my dress. Even tried a Maggie Sottero version but you could see the bones in the dress, so I feel like I made out good.

If you can afford it go for it, get what makes you happy not what the price tag says, unless your budget dictates.

I paid 1300 for my dress including alteration, slip, bustle. With veil and tiara, I am paying 1500 in total.

With taxes and such, here's my breakdown:

$1200 Dress
$110 A-line Slip (totally got ripped off!)
$250 Alterations & French Bustle

$ 1560 Dress Cost

To go even further.....this is the itemization of everything I need to complete my look!

$ 50 Long Line Bra
$ 100 Veil
$ 95 Tiara
$ 45 Customized Garter
$ 55 Shoes
$ 10 day of jewelry (got a DEAL!)

TOTAL Cost of just my dress and accessories:
$ 1915

i haven't done alterations yet but not much is needed .. but i only paid $399 for my dress ... i couldn't see spending that much on it since it is only 1 day .. but if you girls can afford god bless you that is great ...
