CT ? I'm a little confused...

I was talking to a few girls at work today that are getting married this year, and when I told them that I want to be at my CT hour they looked at me like I was crazy, saying that the bride and groom are not supposed to be. But I think that is the best part, I don't want to hide in the bridal suite for an hour while everyone is outside....what did everyone else do??

We are purposely taking our pictures before the ceremony so we CAN be at our CH. We don't want to miss all the fun. All of our family and friends (approx. 300) will be having fun and we don't want to miss it!

I have been to weddings where the bride was at her CH. The one drawback of my place is that the bridal suite is not too big - they feel that the couple SHOULD be at the CH.

We are planning to go to the CH. I want to use that time to talk with everyone so I can dance and PARTY! at the reception.

There's no wrong way. It's yours and FH's day, do want you want.

I agree with you I want to enjoy the CH. Plus it gives us a chance to say Hello to guests.

I am going to my CT hour so I can enjoy the food and say my hello's so me and my husband can enjoy the party...

Oh good to know I wasn't the only one, I was going either way these girls just made it like i was doing something totally wrong. But I want to say hello to my guests so I can dance at the reception! Thanks girls

My FH & I at first thought that we definetely would not. But, after 2nd thought, I agree with a lot of the other girls. If I can, we will be at CH so that we can spend the time at the reception enjoying ourselves rather than saying hello to 200+ people. We decided to play it by ear on that day. We have a 1 1/2 hour CH which will make it easier to get to it.

I also realized that if we end up taking pics in the lobby, many people will see us as they are walking in.

I am definitely going to my CH, I really want to enjoy myself, and by being at the cocktail hour I feel you will get to say hello to most of the guests, rather than having to do it during the reception.

Let me post something one of my guests wrote to me...go to your CH!

The reception was gorgeous! & the fact that you guys came out to mingle & greet the guests during the cocktail hour was really thoughtful & a nice surprise, since usually the bride & groom go into 'hiding' after the ceremony until the MC announces them at the reception.

This is definitely a matter of choice. I think that traditionally the bride and groom didn't attend but all the weddings I've been to lately they did. Personally, I want to go to part of mine so I can say hello's and have more time to party at the reception.

The we attended our CH, there we said hello to everyone because I was determined to EAT and DANCE my whole reception! If I was paying for it it, that's what I was doing.
