Did You Or Will You Bring Laptop on your HM?

not sure if the hotel will have computers - its a timeshare so i dont think they will have any......i like having a laptop in the airport - it comes in handy if you are delayed but im keeping my fingers crossed that we won't have any problems...i just like having email access and neither one of us has a blackberry....plus i know people will be sending photos and i'm not going to have time to check - we only have 1 day in between the wedding and HM - and half of that day we'll still be out in Long Island - by the time we get home it will be late afternoon and i'll want to spend that time with my parents before we leave (my parents are only coming up for the wedding)

its completely up to you, if you want to bring it then fine. But also keep in mind other things you have. Well DH and i had alot of luggage plus each had carry-ons, i think thats the only reason i convinced Dh not to bring it since we had so much already, we had 4 suitcases plus each of us had a carry on so 6 all together but the 2 were small. I dont bring it only bc once im out or once im on vacation, i go no where near a computer, but thats me. If you dont mind then go for it. If youre delayed at the airport, do what dh and i do , drink at the bar and hang out lol

last time we went to florida in june our flight was delayed so went to the bar in the airport, i ended up getting trashed then i had to get on the plane drunk hahahaha - by the time my parents picked us up i was ready for bed....so im not sure i want to do that again - it was fun while we were in the airport but when we finally got to see my parents i was really tired, i crashed and just wanted to sleep....so it kind of ******

i HOPE we dont have a lot of luggage - we are only going for 1 week so i dont think it will be that much stuff - i travel VERY light usually...and plan on doing the same....im not the type that brings lots of shoes and accessories - FH gets lucky with that since he is stuck carrying all the luggage hahahaha

yeah we went for 2 weeks and if it was an island it'd be different but since it was europe we needed ALL types of clothes. DH had suits and button down shirts, light jacket, so many types of pants. I had to bring evening dresses, daytime dresses,cardigans, light jackets and again just about every type of outfit. Shoes i made sure to do better than i normally do haha, but again with going out evenings and brining a bunch of different dresses I HAD to bring a bunch of different shoes that go with the dresses. I even brought different bags. It was alot but with daytime activities and nighttime, we wore ALOT of clothes. Plus i bring my own blow dryer and stuff haha.

If you travel light then its not bad if you bring your laptop. If we would've done an island then we would've had alot less luggage and i know dh would've brought his laptop, but thank god he didnt haha. But i also knew our hotels had computer rooms so if there was a need for any of us to check email or anything we were able to do that. But you said you wont have that so its different.

The hotel will have computers in the lobby. Even though the are time share they still operate like a hotel.

NO we are not bringing ours. It was my one and only request. The blackberry is coming but I am having his boss disable his work login so he can't access work I truly want to escape the world while we are gone and I will be just as guilty of checking e-mail, talking to people and checking work if the tempation is there.

Nope. We are bringing our phones, and we aren't even going to keep them with us. We will be keeping them in the room and only use them to call home every few days.


After all this planning, our honeymoon is going to be relaxation. I don't want to worry about a damn thing...

i guess i dont see the computer as a threat - i think the cell phone would get in the way more - but of course you need to bring a phone.....i think it would be easier to email our parents then call me them! and i think it would be exciting to see some wedding photos...we'll probably end up bringing it

We never bring the laptop when we travel. I am the one who needs to have the constant email access, so I will use the computers in the resort to check email, etc. In Aruba, we stayed at a timeshare, and they did have computers, so I would not worry about that!

i guess i dont see the computer as a threat - i think the cell phone would get in the way more - but of course you need to bring a phone.....i think it would be easier to email our parents then call me them! and i think it would be exciting to see some wedding photos...we'll probably end up bringing it

well we couldnt use our phones, they werent working in europe. So yeah there was the extra charge of calling them on the hotel phone. It wasnt that bad though surprisingly, and my parents dont even have email so i didnt have that option but emailing is a good way to save money. But dh would check his email when we were in the lobby, sometimes he would email his mom. Also one time i used it just to go on frommers.com and get the list of restaurants in spain and then printed it out. So can come in handy, but that was the only time i used it. I think DH used it more than me.

We stayed at La Cabana (no one has ever heard of it LOL) but it was a timeshare, nonetheless. I have friends who stayed at The Marriot and I am pretty sure there are computers there. Do they have a website you can check? We stayed at the Marriott in St. Kitts on our HM, and their website said they have computers, so I knew that ahead of time.

Hell no...I wanted to get away from electronic devices on our HM.

hell to the no. I wanted nothing to do with my laptop on my honeymoon.

Our hotel had computers and we used them twice to email our parents letting them know we arrived.
