with the color of your veil? Do you need a swatch when picking out your veil?? It dawned on me today...I am going to Barrons on Sunday but I do not have a swatch of my dress color...did you wing it or bring a swatch??? Thanks for your help!

i have my sleeves, i ordered it with them and didn't want them but they are a perfect 'swatch' to bring. ask your bridal attendant what she thinks.

I kind of winged it...I bought the veil at the same time as the dress, but the store model veil was in white and I needed ivory, so we took another ivory veil from the same manufacturer and went on a wing and a prayer that it would be the same ivory in the other model, and ordered it. It matched perfectly.

I got a sample of my gown before getting my veil. The woman who is making it has lots of colors. If one is more white-ish or more ivory-ish it can make the darker one look yellowish and dirty but if youre doing white and white you should be able to wing it

I brought in a swatch of my dress. You get the swatch when your dress comes in, and bought veil after dress came in.

My dress is white and I thought of just getting a white veil BUT it was off. I did bring a swatch and got DIAMOND white. The white white the veil place (Barron's) had was too stark white. So I say to bring a swatch if you can!

does anyone know how long barron's takes for your veil to come in?

I was going ot wing it but, since my dress came in yestarday I'll have it before FH's aunt startes to make my veil and she'll be able to match it When I was at Tri-county last week the lady had told another girl that was there that you either go with your dress color or lighter. HTH

They don't order it...it's hand made by them! I was a little 'late' in ordering a few months before my wedding because i didn't go for my first fitting until January, and my wedding was 02/28. They finished it in plenty of time still.

I ordered a veil 2 weeks before my wedding and they were able to make it in 2 weeks. I didnt get it from Barron's though.
Do you NEEd to order it next weekend? if you really want to match it to your dress and wait for a swatch, you could wait a little bit. Most dresses come in about 2 months before the wedding about and thats enough time to get a veil.
